The last thread of hope tangled in my heart had snapped upon hearing that Aaron was involved in leading the downfall of my parents.

I couldn't bring myself to ask Kavier whether he had also killed my parents or not.

I would for sure break down if I saw Kavier, nodding his head at my question.

I mean, from the start, I already had some guesses about it, especially given the way Kavier acted towards Aaron, and that he was planning on rebelling, building his own troops, cultivating them secretly to fight against the Alpha King, to let him see that the person he trusted turned out to be an enemy he overlooked.

Kavier's hatred towards Aaron couldn't be hidden despite the fact that he would always show the gentle smile on his face, his goofiness, and how friendly he was.

But I know that deep down, he was all acting. He was just putting it up when, in fact, he was trying his best to hide the deepest, darkest side of him for fear of scaring the enemy and letting the enemy notice
