The morning rushed, and when Arlet fluttered her eyes to adjust her cornea, Ruben had already left for the office. Rubbing her eyes, she walked down the stairs, only to see Magda holding the empty dishes from the breakfast table.

“Good morning, Arlet,” Magda chimed with morning warmth.

Arlet reached next to the table, grabbing a glass of water to wake up her senses.

“Raya?”

“Oh! She went to school, and Boss went to the office,” Magda added as she directed herself toward the kitchen. She came out of the kitchen momentarily, holding a hot mug of coffee for Arlet.

“Boss told me not to disturb you,” Arlet smiled and circled the cup with her fingers. She skimmed through her phone, but there was no message from Milo. Arlet finished her coffee and ran to prepare herself. She mentioned Magda for her departure towards the city, and she will be back by the evening, and
