My mom froze, wide-eyed, before rushing over to yank me and Wanda apart.

"You okay, Shaun?" she asked, her voice all mom-mode concern.

That little bit of care? It lit Wanda up like a firecracker. Hair a mess, face redder than a stop sign, she stumbled to her feet.

"I'm reporting you to the school for hitting a girl!" she screeched. "It's just a dog! Why are you acting like the world's ending? Ugh, rich people are so cheap!"

I shot her a glare. "If anything happens to my mom's dog, you'll regret it. And Emma? She'll get her full pay—plus compensation. Count on it."

The anger bubbling inside me drowned out everything else as I stared at her, fully exposed for the snake she was. But, of course, Wanda couldn't resist thinking she still had the upper hand. Like we'd never actually cut her off—because, what, social niceties?

Wanda stormed into the house, fuming and dripping wet like a drowned rat. We were mid-laugh, celebrating my mom's birthday, and the sight of her was so ridiculous none of us could hold back our laughter.Feigning surprise, I smirked and called out, "Oh wow, is it raining? Shelly, better grab the laundry before it gets soaked!"Wanda stood frozen, probably too scared to open her mouth and risk getting kicked out. But, true to her shameless nature, she made a beeline for the dining table and started stuffing her face like nothing had happened."Shelly," I said with a cold smile, "I don't like sharing meals with strangers."Our maid, Shelly, caught on right away. She stepped forward, ready to escort Wanda out.Wanda's eyes widened in shock. No matter how much Shelly tugged, she refused to budge, clearly stunned at how ruthless I was willing to be.***That's when the front door slammed open, and Emma stormed in, her face red with fury. Wanda's frustration was obvious, but she slapped on a strained smile. "It's not that bad. Drick just graduated, and, well, we can't afford a place right now."I shrugged. "No big deal. If you two work hard, you'll get there. But if something this small throws you off, how can anyone believe your love's unbreakable? Don't you think?"Drick's expression soured like he'd just eaten a lemon. It was clear he'd been banking on some easy money and was only now realizing that door was shut. 'Rich people don't miss a thing,' he probably thought, squirming under the weight of reality.Seeing them squirm gave me a quiet sense of satisfaction.Wanda, still clinging to her pride, snapped, "So you're just refusing to help us? Fine! I'll never spend another penny of your family's money!" She grabbed Drick's arm and tried to storm off dramatically, but he didn't budge."Shaun," he quickly interjected, "don't mind her. She's upset—women, you know?" He gave a nervous laugh, clearly hoping my parent

Seriously? I couldn't help but laugh, the absurdity of it all hitting me. If I hadn't called the cops, I'd be six feet under right now. And here she was, acting like it was just a minor misunderstanding.Wanda jumped in, bold as ever. "Exactly! I'm the one who got hurt, not you. Why are you being so petty?"I almost wanted to applaud her nerve. Her boyfriend had stabbed her, and she still wanted to bail him out. Her logic was unreal."Oh? Then why don't you join me and press charges against him?" I shot back, barely holding back a smirk."You..." Wanda stammered, clearly caught off guard. With no real comeback, she defaulted to her usual theatrics. Dropping to the ground, she started wailing, her cries loud enough to draw a crowd."Everyone, come look!" she screamed. "Shaun Lambert forced me to sleep with him for three years, and now he won't take responsibility. I'm so pitiful!"'This again.' In my past life, her lies had wrecked my reputation and haunted me even after I died.

"I'm giving these luxury items to everyone because of Shaun," Wanda Schit announced. "Why should he enjoy all this extravagance alone? Sharing is caring, right?"The crowd lost their collective minds. My classmates didn't even pause to think before tossing accusations my way."He should be thanking us!" Wanda added, flashing me this smug grin, arms crossed like she'd just saved the world. That did it. The crowd ate it up. A couple of them even ran up to hug her. Hug her."Wanda, you're our goddess! So generous and beautiful!""A living saint!"The compliments piled on, and Wanda looked like she'd float away on her own ego. She held her head high, like a proud peacock basking in the attention.'Cool. You want to play the saint with my stuff? Let's see how well you do when the truth smacks you in the face,' I thought.I stepped forward, my voice calm but sharp. "If you're so into good deeds, maybe try using your own money.
