Later that night, as the moonlight shone through the open window of the bedroom, Elsie tossed and turned, grasping at the pillow and speaking inaudibly.

Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open, tears brimming in them. She scanned the room in search of something or someone in particular. When she could not find him, she hopped out of bed, ignoring the fluffy flip-flops at the bedside.

Her feet came in contact with the cold marble floor, but still, she did not feel anything. She scurried to the bathroom, only to find it empty.

More tears ran down her cheek, her heart raced, and she felt restless. The whole room spun around, as if the walls were getting closer and blurrier.

Losing her footing made her lose her balance, and she dropped to the floor. Luckily, at the nick of time, she was caught and pressed onto a large chest. She inhaled his scent, which seemed to have an effect in calming her nerves.
