The morning sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the cozy hotel room. Elsie stretched her arms with a yawn as she embraced Aiden from behind. While Aiden skillfully chopped vegetables on a chopping board, he pushed it further away, worried she might get hurt.

Nudging his back with her head like a cat seeking attention, Elsie's lips broadened into a smile, her fingers playfully toying with the buttons of his shirt.

"Did you sleep well?" Aiden asked, his attention focused on the vegetables he was chopping, also trying to ignore Elsie's distractions as she now stood on her toes, placing feathery kisses along his neck.

Stopping in the midst of her pecks, she cocked her head and pouted, "I should be asking you, you were the one driving, yet I slept in the car. Why didn't you wake me up? It must have been such a hassle to carry me to the room."

"Who said anything about carrying you? Why would I do that?" Aiden replied
