CHAPTER EIGHTY-SIX

RIVER

I couldn't sleep throughout the night. I was watching Elara. I knew she wasn't asleep either. I could tell how hurt Elara felt at that moment.

I stayed put in bed watching Elara struggling to sleep, and it broke my heart.

I finally slept off but couldn't sleep for too long. I woke up before Elara did. Elara continued with her attitude the next morning.

When she left the room angrily without even sparing me a glance or giving me the chance to explain myself. I hurried out of my room, heading for Lisa's.

There was no way she wouldn't have returned to the pack house by now.

When I got there, I met Lisa walking out of her room with a proud smile on her face.

I grabbed her by the neck and pushed her back into the room. Lisa began to scream as she grabbed my hand with both of her hands.

She grew her claws and tried to tear my skin with them. She kept struggling to pull my hands from her neck. I didn't stop, I was choking Lisa recklessly.
