CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE

CONSTANCE

"It's a little bit salty," Edwin said.

He was talking about the macaroni we were having for breakfast. I nodded in agreement. The food tasted a little salty. But, it was still okay.

"They added a new spice," I told Edwin. "Can you taste it?"

He shook his head slightly, and I smiled. Of course, not everyone would easily taste a new spice in a food.

"Something like a dry medical spice," I said.

He put a spoonful in his mouth and began to chew it slowly, using his tongue to taste every part of the food.

"I think I can taste it now," he agreed with me. "The food is Al little salty. Maybe that's what distracted me from all other tastes. "

I nodded.

Edwin picked up the serviette and wiped his mouth with it. I stared at his plate. He was unable to eat half of the food.

"Are you done?" I asked him.

"Yes," he responded. "I have a few things to handle at the office right now. "
