CHAPTER SEVENTY SIX

Since Nuella is awake and all better now, they’re given permission to go back to their tent with the only instruction that Nuella goes back in the morning for the wound to be redressed and her bandages changed just in case it doesn’t heal overnight. Claude was especially happy to finally leave, there’s only so much medicine and antiseptic smell one’s nose could take.

As they left, they happened to pass by Victoria and a very normal looking Tasha, not the disgusting creature she had turned to back at the other island across the river. She smirked at Claude who just looked away. Everything about that girl was just wrong.

She looked at Nuella who seemed indifferent instead of frightened or troubled like anyone would have expected and Claude wondered if she had indeed lost all memory of what happened back there and once they were back inside their tent, Claude made sure to ask her.
