Chapter 25
Regina
We walked back to my car, taking seats at the back seat of the car with the doors open for cross ventilation. What I had to tell Jason was something that had been going on within my family for a while now but it still wasn't confirmed and if it was, it would cause a lot of damage to my family.
''You can trust me Regina?'' he smiled, cupping my cheek.
I felt safe and secure in his hands and I knew that I could bare my whole heart to him without fear of getting rebuked, unlike what I faced in Dean's hands.
''I don't know but there are underground reports that my father has been indicted for fraud and I'm scared Jason because something like this has never happened before. I don't know why this is happening.'' I croaked.
My emotions were all over the place and I was quite glad that he provided an outlet for me to just pour it all out. It was the best gift anyone could give me and I would never take it for granted. I needed him
Chapter 26Jason''You didn't have to drag me away from her, you know. I was ready to beat her up?'' Regina sighed.''And have you been expelled? Not a chance.'' I sighed. The last thing I wanted was for her to get expelled for something that wasn't her fault. Angie was a troublemaker and she wanted more than anything to get Regina in trouble and for as long as I lived and was in that school, I would never allow her to do something like that. I was in love with Regina and I wasn't scared to say it to myself.''Thanks.'' she sighed.''Anytime.'' I smiled.I took the next turn that led to the Pack, a place I knew she could just cool off and think of other things but the things that happened.''Where are we going?'' she asked.''The Park.'' I simply said,''But we're going to miss classes,'' she sighed. That was the last thing I wanted to do but also, I didn't want her to be in the midst of the very people tha
Chapter 27ReginaNow what was I going to tell him? Jason was insistent and in that moment, nothing was going through my mind. I couldn't tell him what the problem really was because I knew he wouldn't believe me. I knew I could trust him, but also knew he wouldn't believe me even if I told him. Even I wouldn't believe a crazy story like that if I didn't experience it myself. It would sound so stupid even to my hearing and I would have a hard time believing it.That voice that had spoken to me when I woke up the first time still rang in my ears and I knew I would remember it for a long time. That kind of voice wasn't hard to forget and I knew for a long time that I would never forget it. It stuck with me for a very long time.''During the holidays, I just had time to go over my life and decided that I wanted to become a better person. I'm not proud of what I did and I regret everything I did . If I had the power to turn back the hands of time, I would go
Chapter 28Regina''Ready to go?'' Jason asked.I was calm now and I felt like I could handle anything that came my way and thanks to this man, he had brought me back to sanity.''Yeah, I am. Thank you.'' I smiled. He helped me up and just as I rose up, I accidentally bumped into him, hitting him lightly on his face. It was damn awkward but he laughed it off, even kissing the point at which I bumped into him.''Sorry,''We made our way back to his car, climbing in as he drove towards school. Jason had really given me a good time and the few hours I had stayed with him was surreal. I never knew that good people even existed and I was quite glad that our paths crossed.''I never knew you had a car.'' I said.I didn't want it to sound as if I didn't think highly of him and I really hoped that he wouldn't get offended by what I said.''Yeah, I do but it's only that I am usually more comfortable with
Chapter 29JasonI felt disgusted when I saw the pictures but my disgust wasn't directed at Regina, far from it but instead it was directed at Angie for doing this to her friend. What sort of person would do this to someone they claimed they liked. As far as I could remember, Regina and Angie were very close, they had practically been glued at the hip but now, I realized that everything was superficial. They were only friends with each other because of what they could benefit from each other. It was a sick thing when you thought about it but now, I wasn't going to push the blame because here, it was clear that Angie was in the wrong. I could see it in Regina's eyes that she had changed and she regretted everything she had done but Angie was a total ballgame entirely. She was mean and evil and it was only a mad person who would be friends with her.''I'll sit with you through classes today so you don't have to worry about being alone okay?'' I smiled.''Thank you Jason, for everything
Chapter 30Regina ''Never forget your revenge! Never forget!''I jumped up in fright, looking around my room to see who had spoken. There was no one except me in the room but I couldn't deny the fact that I heard the voice and it was very loud and clear. It was the voice, the same voice that had woken me up in this new life I was now living. It was a warning and I couldn't help but have a feeling that my time was running up. I needed to get on with my plans and enact my revenge on Angie and Dean before it was too late.I sighed, sitting up on my bed. I couldn't deny the fact that this new life i was living was very tough and mind draining, i couldn't help but feel that with every day that passed, i was getting more and more closer to the end point which was something that put a whole lot of anxiety within me.''I
Chapter 31JasonWhen i woke up that morning, the first thing i saw was the news on Regina's dad. I remember when she told me a few days back that there were rumors about her father being involved in fraud but i never thought that it would get to this. I met her father just once and that was when he came to donate some things to the school and i never thought he would be a fraudster. I know it's not written on the face but yet, he didn't count me as such. Now, i didn't even know what to make of all of this. It was confusing and very disturbing because I really liked Regina and I hated to think that this was happening to her.''Jason?'' she croaked. When I found her earlier on, she was a complete mess. Her bathroom was filled to the brim with water and she smelt like puke. I didn't want to bathe her because that would mean intruding on her privacy and besides, she never gave me permission so I did my best with the wet wipes I had found on her bedside table. I cleaned her up as best as
Chapter 32Regina''Thank you for today, i really appreciate what you're doing for me.'' I smiled. It was now evening and Jason had practically stayed with me all day. We had talked, laughed and cooked together and I couldn't even begin to describe what a wonderful man he was. He never for once got bored or tired of me. In fact, he encouraged me to keep talking so I wouldn't slip into the depressive stage my father had put me and my family into.Earlier, my mom had finally called. She had been with my father in the holding facility where he had been kept for questioning. I hated that my father, who was a respected member of society , could be treated like a common criminal. He was just undergoing investigations until proven guilty but the society we lived in wouldn't see it that way. They would all scream and shout that he was a thief and a fraudster. And I didn't even want to think about what people in school would say. I knew for a fact that the news wo
Chapter 33ReginaAn hour later, we were done cleaning the kitchen after the mess we made. With the cookie now in the oven, we could go back to the living room and continue watching the show we had paused. The clouds were heavy, pregnant with rain and I knew that soon, there would be a heavy downpour.''Won't your mom worry that you've been out all day?''I hadn't seen his phone ring since he came in and I wondered whether his mom wouldn't be worried over his whereabouts.''She's not even in the country. She's in Canada, a long time friend of hers is getting married and she had to attend. It's just me and my brother at home and those ones, they really don't care as long as I don't get into trouble.'' he laughed. That explained why his phone hadn't been blaring with calls and text messages. I knew my mother. If she even knew I was out late at a friend's house, my phone wouldn't survive the onslaught of calls and text messages from her.''That explains everything.'' I smiled.''Yep.'' h
Chapter 128JasonI was sitting in the school courtyard, trying to gather the courage to do what I had been thinking about for weeks. I had fallen deeply in love with Regina, that much was certain and I knew I needed to tell her how I felt and I wanted the whole school to know it.As I stood up and walked towards her, my heart was pounding so loudly in my chest that I thought everyone around me could hear it. When I finally reached her, I took a deep breath and blurted out, "Regina, I love you. I'm never going to leave you."Regina's face turned bright red, and she looked down at the ground shyly. But before she could respond, we heard a loud commotion behind us. It was Dean, Regina's former boyfriend, and he was beyond angry."What the hell is going on here?" Dean shouted as he stormed over to us. "You think you can just waltz in here and steal my girl? You're nothing but a loser, Jason!"I tried to explain that I wasn't trying to steal Reg
Chapter 127JasonI took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down, but the anger was still boiling inside me. How could she do this to me? Regina had broken my trust once again.I walked into our apartment and slammed the door shut behind me. Regina was sitting on the couch, scrolling through her phone, completely oblivious to my presence. I stood there, watching her for a moment, trying to contain my rage. She had come that evening, thinking it would be a soft ride for her but little did she know that I was still angry with her."Jason, is everything okay?" she asked, finally looking up from her phone."No, everything is not okay," I snapped. "How could you do this to me, Regina? I trusted you and you went behind my back."Regina's expression changed from confusion to guilt as she realized what I was talking about. "I didn't mean to hurt you, Jason. I just didn't know how to tell you.""That's not good enough," I said, my voice ra
Chapter 126ReginaI woke up early on a Saturday morning, feeling a sense of excitement that I hadn't experienced in a while. After weeks of non-stop studying and attending classes, I finally had a weekend off from school. And I had a special plan in mind for my boyfriend Jason.I tiptoed into the kitchen, trying not to wake him up. The kitchen was quiet, and the sun was barely shining through the windows. I opened the fridge and took out the ingredients I needed for my surprise. Flour, sugar, butter, eggs, milk, and a few other things. I put them all on the counter and started to preheat the oven.I then went to the pantry and found a recipe for vanilla cupcakes. I had never made cupcakes from scratch before, but I was determined to make these ones perfectly. I measured all the ingredients carefully, following the recipe to the letter. I mixed everything together, watching as the batter slowly turned into a smooth, creamy texture. As I was mixing, I couldn't help but smile, thinking
Chapter 125JasonI walked purposefully towards Dean with my fists clenched at my sides. My heart was pounding in my chest, and my mind was racing with all the things I wanted to say to him. When I reached him, he was surrounded by his usual gang of followers, all of whom looked up at me with a mixture of surprise and amusement. But I didn't care. All that mattered was getting through to Dean and making him understand what he was doing to Regina."Hey, Dean," I said, my voice steady and calm, even though my insides were churning. "We need to talk."Dean sneered at me. "What do you want, loser? Come to beg for mercy?"I ignored his jibe and got straight to the point. "Listen, I know you've been taunting Regina lately. And I'm here to tell you to cut it out."Dean laughed in my face. "What, you're her knight in shining armor now? She doesn't need your protection, man."I took a deep breath and tried to keep my temper in check. "I
Chapter 124ReginaI walked into the school counselor's office feeling nervous and uneasy that fine morning. I had been having trouble with Angie and everyone knew she had been bullying me for weeks, if not months. I didn't trust her, and I knew that she was up to something, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was.The counselor, Ms. Lee, greeted me with a warm smile and asked me to take a seat. I took a deep breath and began to tell her about my problems with Angie. I told her how Angie would make fun of me in front of my classmates, and how she would spread rumors about me behind my back. I also mentioned that I didn't trust Angie and that I felt like she was up to something.Ms. Lee listened attentively, nodding her head as I spoke. When I finished, she gave me a reassuring smile and told me not to worry. She said that Angie was probably just going through a tough time and that I should try to be more understanding.I wasn't satisfied
Chapter 123ReginaI sat on the couch, my head resting on a pillow as I stared at the TV without really seeing it. I felt drained, both physically and emotionally. My mind was foggy, my thoughts a jumbled mess, and my heart heavy. It had been a tough few weeks, and it felt like I was barely holding it together.Just then, Jason walked in the door, his smile immediately brightening up the room. He had rushed to the main mall to get some things and I knew that he must have gotten my favorite tub of ice cream. He kicked off his shoes and made his way over to the couch, sitting down next to me and wrapping his arm around my shoulders."Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked softly.I shrugged, not quite sure how to put into words the tumultuous storm raging inside me. But before I could even try, Jason spoke up."I just wanted to say how proud I am of you for fighting through this. I know it hasn't been easy, but you've been so strong and resilient
Chapter 122JasonWhat do you do when you feel all hope is lost and you have no reason for living anymore? What do you do when you see the love of your life slowly slipping into a depressive state, one that she isn't able to get out of? Well, that was the state Regina was currently in and what made it worse was the fact that I had absolutely no idea on what to do.We had tried all we could to help her situation but nothing seemed to be working at all and I was getting more worried by the minute because it just seemed like Regina was sinking much more deeper into her depressive state.''What's got you all worked up?'' my mother asked, walking into the living room.I sighed, staring into space whilst looking at nothing in particular. Everything I was thinking of and was happening just put a damper in my mood and I wanted it to end as soon as possible. I was feeling bad for Regina and I wanted her to heal on time.''Its Regina, it doesn't seem like she's getting better which hurts me.''
Chapter 121ReginaI arrived at the therapist's office, feeling a mix of nervousness and relief. Nervousness because I was about to open up about some very personal things, but relief because I knew this was the right decision for me.I had been struggling with my mental health for some time now, and it was taking a toll on my relationship with Jason which I didn't want happening anymore. He had been so supportive, trying everything he could think of to help me feel better, but I didn't want to burden him any further. I knew he had his own stresses and responsibilities, and I didn't want to add to them. So, I had made the decision to seek help on my own and with a different person. It was only a miracle I found her online and I knew she would be able to help me. It was a difficult choice, as I had always been the type to try to handle things on my own. But I knew that I needed professional guidance to help me navigate my emotions and thoughts. As I sat in the waiting room, I felt my p
Chapter 120JasonLater on, I took a deep breath before knocking on Regina's bedroom door. I knew this conversation wouldn't be easy, but it needed to happen. After a few moments, Regina opened the door and let me in. She looked tired and her eyes were puffy from crying."What's up, Jason?" Regina asked, as she sat down on her bed."Regina, I'm worried about you. I think you need help," I said, taking a seat next to her."What do you mean?" Regina asked, looking at me confused."I mean, I think you have a mental health issue, and I think it would be best for you to take some time off from school to focus on getting better," I said gently.Regina's face fell, and she looked like she was about to cry again. "Do you really think so?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper."Yes, I do," I said firmly. "I've noticed some changes in your behavior lately, and I think it's time for you to seek professional help."Regina nodded slowly, tears starting to fall down her cheeks. "Okay," she s
