40. My vein sparks with excitement!

Liam's POV

“What the hell are you doing up here?” I fire at Anna. “The hall is down there and that's where guests should be!”

Her legs are frozen where she stands, shock glued on her face and she doesn't say a word.

I turn to the princess. “Please, go into your room, princess. This weirdo could do anything . I'll be right back after I deal with her.”

The princess takes my words and goes inside her room.

With her gone, I drag Anna by the hand and storm downstairs. I drag her further to the back of one of the pack houses. It's quite there since the occupants are still at the party.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” I ask Anna. “I made it clear in that note that you should stay away from me.”

“Liam…” her voice cracks, “we're… mates.”

“I'm fucking away of that,” I roar, clenching my fists. “But I have a fucking life.”

“I do, too!”

“You don't understand me. I'm not interested in letting you alter my own life, Anna. I was okay until the moon goddess sent you!” I voice out.
