A FEW MOMENTS LATER
As soon as I entered the bathroom, I sank onto the cold, hard floor and tried to gather my thoughts. I sat on the bathroom floor, surrounded by the sterile white tiles and the faint scent of cleaning supplies, trying to make sense of the memories that were flooding back to me. I had trusted Chelsea so much in my previous life and even considered her a very close friend, but now I realized that all along, she had just been using me to get closer to Ezra. I was so pissed that I trusted someone like her. She's just so deceitful!
The thought of her betrayal felt like a physical wound and it broke my heart into a million pieces I couldn't stem the flow of tears as I remembered how she had always pretended to be there for me, offering help and support when all along her true goal had been to drive a wedge between Ezra and me. She was just a fucking jealous bitch!! Damn it!! Damn me for trusting her and letting her fool me!! I felt so foolish for not seeing it before, for not realizing the truth about her intentions. How could I have been so blind? How could I have been so dumb?? I didn't even realize how evil she was.
I had always considered myself a good judge of character, but in this case, I had been completely wrong about Chelsea. Tears streamed down my face as I remembered how she had used me, manipulated me and my trust in her just to get closer to Ezra. It was a cruel, heartbreaking realization, and I felt completely devastated.
I sat in the bathroom for what felt like hours, lost in my thoughts and memories until the sound of a knock on the bathroom door broke through my thoughts.
"Are you okay?" a voice called out from the other side. "You've been in there for a long time. Fontuu need help with anything?"
I recognized the voice as Chelsea's, and I quickly wiped away my tears and tried to compose myself.
"I'm fine," I called back with my voice shaking slightly. "I'll be out in a minute."
As I walked out of the bathroom and made my way toward the bed, I couldn't help but feel very uncomfortable with Chelsea in the room. I had just spent the last few minutes wiping away my tears and washing my face, trying to compose myself before coming out to face her. Despite her attempts at feigning concern, I couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn't truly here for me – I could see through her.
I quietly sat down on the edge of the bed and Chelsea took a seat beside me. I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself before I spoke. "Why are you here Chelsea??" I asked as my voice came out a bit terser than I had intended.
"I just wanted to check on you. I heard what happened. I can't believe that Ezra caught you eloping with Ian. I wonder how he found out about it," Chelsea replied with her tone sounding saccharine sweet. "I saw him leave and I quickly came in to see you. I was worried about you Valerie." Chelsea said
I frowned because her words were ringing false in my ears. "I appreciate the concern, Chelsea. Thank you for checking up on me but I'm fine." I managed to say.
Chelsea's expression darkened for a moment before she schooled her features into a mask of innocence and asked, "What's wrong? You are acting really strange. Did Ezra do something to hurt you??"
I sighed, I wanted to confront her but I didn't. "No, he didn't do anything to hurt me. I'm just feeling tired, that's all." I replied her
"I'm here for you, I promise," she said with a concerned look on her face. "I'll help you get away from Ezra, he's not good for you."
I raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean? Ezra is my mate and we've been together for years."
"Yes, I know," she said with a sigh. "But you've got to trust me, he's not the man you think he is. He's dangerous, and I'm worried about your safety."
I couldn't help but sneer inwardly. Chelsea was always one to stir up trouble and this was just another one of her games. But this time was different because I had been given a second chance. I had been reborn, and I knew what was coming – I knew all the tricks already and I was ready for her.
"I appreciate your concern, Chelsea," I said with a smile. "But I'm not afraid of Ezra. I know him better than anyone, and he would never hurt me."
"You're not listening to me," she said as her voice grew stern. "You need to get out of this situation before it's too late and I'll do everything in my power to help you."
I didn't want to further argue with her so I just sighed and nodded, agreeing to whatever she said.
She patted me on my shoulders and whispered to me, "You have to leave Ezra, he's scary and very dangerous," she said with a warning tone. "I will help you, just trust me."
"You will be fine. Everything will be fine. You just have to do as I say and you will be free from Ezra." She added as she continued to pat my shoulders. "I will leave you now but I will be back to check up on you again. Take care of yourself, Valerie." Chelsea said and left
With that, she got up from the bed and walked out of the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease, but I was determined to stay the course. I knew what was coming, and I was prepared for her and everything. I wasn't going to be stupid again!
VALERIE'S POV As the sun rose on the fourth day, I found myself lying in the same position on the bed, staring at the ceiling and wondering why Ezra wouldn't come to see me. It was just like in my previous life, things between us had taken a dark turn after the night he forced himself on me. Ever since he left the room that night, he had become distant – he was avoiding me. He had disappeared for three days. I felt like I was stuck in a never-ending cycle but that was about to change because, in this present life, I had the power to break this cycle and change my life for the better. During these days of Ezra's absence in my life, I tried all I could to get close to him but he didn't want to give me a chance. I called him on the phone but he always declined my calls. I tried to visit him but he ordered his security guards to never let me in. He avoided me like I was some sort of plague and it bothered me. All the efforts I made to see him were futile. But on the fourth day, as I la
EZRA'S POV"What's going on there??!!" I asked again after waiting for Jason to reply to my question but I heard nothing from him. I was angry, so very angry that one could feel my anger through the phone."Why did Jason call me?? What was Valerie doing outside of her room? Why was Ian there with Valerie and why was he talking about taking her away??" All these thoughts came flooding into my head at that moment and it overwhelmed me with so much rage. I stood up from my chair, my broad shoulders expanding as I straightened my back. My eyes which were usually focused and serious as I pored over documents, now burned with a fierce intensity. With purposeful strides, I made my way toward the door – my footsteps echoed through the room. I clenched and unclenched my hands, anticipating the fight that was about to happen. But just as I was about to unlock the door and head out for war, I heard Valerie's voice through the phone. The call was still connected so I was able to hearevery sound
A FEW MOMENTS LATERI paced around my office like a caged lion and my heart raced with anticipation. I couldn't wait for Jason to bring in Valerie. I straightened my tie, adjusted my shirt, and ran a hand through my hair, hoping to make a good impression on Valerie of course, not Jason. As I walked back and forth, I couldn't help but think about her. I was so anxious to see her. And then, like a dream come true, she walked through the door. My heart skipped a beat as I saw her, looking as radiant as ever. I couldn't resist any longer, I had to show her how I felt. Without a second thought, I walked up to her and pulled her into my arms. The world melted away as I kissed her, feeling her soft lips on mine. It was a moment of pure passion, a rush of emotion that I couldn't hold back any longer. My lips lingered on hers for a while and I didn't want to pull away. I felt so pleased with how she handled Ian regardless of her reason. After a while, Jason cleared his throat to remind me of
EZRA'S POV I looked at my friend suspiciously and knew that something was wrong somewhere. Ezra couldn't believe what his friend said,Ezra couldn't believe what he heard!. "Are you really sure of what you just said?" I asked him, staring at him eye-to-eye to make sure he meant his word. "I am perfectly sure," he responded. I became confused. I looked at where Valerie was sleeping peacefully, I couldn't imagine not spending my lifetime with her. "Ezra, you have to take my advice. Remember, if you end up with her you will definitely lose your position" He knows that I don't joke with my position. "Is there anything that can be done if this rumor is true?" I asked. "Nothing, you just have to accept your fate and move on" He responded I felt so weak and was speechless. I know my friend very well and I trust him with my life.I even get most updates from him. But, this was too much for me to bear as it concerns the one I truly love. My friend stood up from his seat, adjusted
Not quite long after getting to my quarters, I heard a knock. "Come in," Chelsea walked in. I wondered what brought her to her place. "Valerie, I came to check on you but you weren't available, where were you?" I knew that Chelsea was definitely up to something. I was sure that Chelsea never came around to check up on Me. "I went out" I replied her.I wasn't in the mood to talk. Chelsea knew how to bug me with questions and I wasn't ready for that. "I am sure you went to see Ezra, but the securityguard wouldn't let you. Why not forget about him and move on" She said I was getting upset with this wrong advice from Chelsea. I was trying so hard to contain my anger."Jason helped me and I saw Ezra" I replied trying to observe her facial expression.Chelsea knew about it, but she felt bad. "So how did it go?" She askedI knew that would be the next question. I was ready for it and tried as much as possible to give her a positive reply. As far as I am concerned,Ezra is mine and nobody
He was feeling very uneasy and tried to adjust himself. Chelsea smiled, moved closer to him and held him by his waist . She knew it wasn't necessary to get his permission for her to satisfy him, so she went ahead and unzipped his pants. She brought out his little boy down there . "Wow! This is large" Chelsea exclaimed. Jason smiled. Chelsea went on her knees and gave Jason a very satisfactory handjob that sent chills all over his body. He enjoyed the pleasure he got, he wanted more. Chelsea allowed him to play with her titties, he wanted to brag unto her nipples then she stopped him. Jason begged for him to be allowed. Chelsea told him she had one request to make. He gave her the go ahead to make her request, because he will do anything for her. She smiled. Chelsea then gave him consent to her nipples to suck, he quickly grabbed it.While caressing her boobs, she spilled the beans. She told him that Valerie has no wolf and he had to deliver the message to Ezra, unknown to them
Valerie knew that things weren't fine with Ezra. What sort of migraine would make him avoid her? "Maybe I have to call home, here is becoming boring" She picked up her phone to call her mom, Chelsea walked into her room unannounced. Valerie's shoulders dropped. "Valerie dear," Chelsea said with her face beaming with a smile. Valerie wasn't smiling, she was not expecting her to visit. "Chelsea, what are you doing here?" Chelsea was not expectig such a question from Valerie. "Uhmm, Valerie, hope everything is okay? I don't understand this question" Chelsea was feeling upset. "Is this a good way to welcome your guest?" Valerie couldn't hold it anymore, she fired back. "Who is the guest? You? Haha. A guest that doesn't know when to visit, you don't know when you're needed or when one needs space. You always come uninvited" Chelsea couldn't believe what she heard, she could take any kind of insult from anyone but not Valerie. She raised her hands to slap Valerie and then… "Don
