I walked back to the dormitory, lost in thought, Scott's hand still holding mine. We parted ways at the entrance, and I trudged upstairs, my mind reeling.

As I opened the door, Lyra greeted me with a warm smile. "Hey, how was dinner?"

"Eventful," I replied, flopping onto the bed.

Days passed since the parent-teacher conference. On a quiet evening, Lyra was doing laundry in our dorm room.

As Lyra continued sorting her clothes, I noticed a few papers tangled among her clothes.

"Hey, what's that?" I asked, pointing to the papers.

Lyra's hands paused, her expression fleeting. "Oh, it's nothing. just some old notes."

My curiosity was piqued. "She is lying. It's probably a love letter." I thought so I decided to investigate.

Soon as she left the room and then I walked over her laundry where the pages where. As I untangle papers my heart skipped a bit. This are the missing pages from the book Scott gave us. Why does she have it?

Julianna POVI couldn’t move. Kira was just steps away now, eyes glowing like dying stars. Her presence was ice and fire all at once. Every breath I took felt stolen, every heartbeat a countdown.“You’re not strong enough,” she whispered, her voice like smoke curling into my ears. “You’re not special. You’re just scared.”And she was right I was scared. But before she could reach me, something slammed into her from the side—a blur of black wings and boots.KRAK!Kira crashed into a tree, bark shattering on impact.I blinked.“LYRA?!”There she stood—my roommate, my once-friend her eyes blazing, fangs bared, and foot still raised mid-kick.“Stay away from her,” Lyra growled. “I made a mistake, but I’m not letting you take her again.”She turned to me, guilt carved across her face.“Julie, I—” she started, her voice shaking. “I didn’t know they’d come for you. I never meant for it to go this far, I swear—”But then, everything changed.Kira rose from the dirt, grinning.“Touching,” she

Lyra POVI guided the Thane siblings to Julianna’s house, my wings slicing through the cold night air as I flew ahead. We moved fast. There was no time to waste.Caleb and Cameron had shifted into their wolf forms, sprinting through the woods like shadows on a mission. Lila and Lily flew beside me using their telekinetic energy, glowing faintly with a protective aura. Kaid transformed into a bat too, keeping close behind. When we reached Julianna’s house, our hearts dropped. The entire place was devastated windows shattered, furniture broken, scorch marks on the walls. This wasn’t a robbery. We burst inside.“Over there!” Caleb barked, already racing toward the living room. He knelt and helped up an unconscious woman. It was Julianna’s mother.“Are you okay, ma’am?” Caleb asked, his voice gentler now.She groaned in pain, barely conscious. Lila and Lily rushed over, already calling on healing spells. Their hands glowed softly as they began to mend wounds and ease the bruises.“Who are

Scott POVStill in Kaid's room, surrounded by my Siblings,as we discussed Julianna's suspicions. Lily's statement had left us all in stunned silence. Lyra finally broke the silence, her voice laced with concern."Why would someone do that?" Lyra asked. "Nobody except for Scott and I knew about Julianna's powers."Lily's expression turned mysterious. "Or that's just what you think," she said, her words dripping with intrigue.I felt a pang of guilt, wondering if I had inadvertently put Julianna in danger. "What have I done?" I thought to myself.Kaid's voice brought me back to reality. "No need to worry about that now. Right now, we need to help Julie.""Lily and Lila, can you open up a teleportation circle?" Kaid asked.Lila shook her head. "We cannot, we can only use the spell to teleport to places we have been before."Lyra spoke up. "I know her address."Caleb groaned. "Great, just what I wanted. A long walk."Kaid shot him a warning glance. "Come on, Caleb. We need to move."With

Scott POV THE PAST.I sat at a wooden table in the library, surrounded by stacks of dusty books and scattered notes. I was researching Chronokeepers, trying to find a way to help Julianna control her powers. The library was quiet, the only sound the soft rustle of pages turning.Suddenly, the door swung open and Julianna walked in, her expression was somber, her eyes filled with sadness."Julianna, what are you doing here so late?" I asked, standing up from my seat. But she ignored me, her eyes blazing with anger. "You lied to me," she accused, her voice trembling with rage.My heart sank. She must have found out about the missing pages. "Lie to you? And why would I do that?" I asked, trying to play dumb.Julianna scoffed, throwing the missing pages at me. "Don't play dumb, Scott. You know exactly what I'm talking about."My expression turned somber as I picked up the pages. "So you found out. We did it to protect you."Julianna's eyes narrowed. "Protect me? From what?"I hesitated.

I woke up to an empty room, wondering where Lyra was. "Where's Lyra?" I thought to myself. "She's probably upset about the things I said yesterday. I should apologize." I considered the possibility that she might be in class and decided to get ready. After the first period, I still hadn't seen Lyra. I scanned the hallway, searching for a familiar face. That's when I spotted Scott from a distance. "Hey Scott!" I shouted, but he ignored me. I headed towards him, but before I could reach him, he vanished into the crowd."He and Lyra must be mad at me," I thought. "No wonder they're avoiding me." I tried to shake off the feeling of unease that settled in my stomach. Maybe Scott and Lyra were just giving me space after our argument yesterday. As the day went on, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. At lunchtime, I decided to try and find Scott and Lyra again. I scanned the dining hall, but they were nowhere to be found. I asked around, but no one seemed to have seen the
