Julianna POV

After the crazy conversation with Scott on the rooftop, I headed to my room, grateful for the unexpected break from classes.

When I opened the door, I found Lyra floating in mid-air, her eyes serenely closed.

"Oh, you're here," she said, her voice ethereal, without opening her eyes.

Does she see me or sense my presence?

"I've been looking for you all over the building," I said, closing the door behind me.

Lyra's eyes fluttered open, and she smiled.

"I came straight to our room after class was disbanded," she explained.

I nodded, intrigued.

"So how are feeling by the way? You didn't look so good in the dining hall" Lyra asked concerned.

"I'm good, not to worry about." I replied.

"Are you meditating?" I asked.

"Yes, it's essential to maintain my youth," Lyra replied, her gaze sparkling.

"But you're still young, aren't you?" I teased.

Lyra's laughter filled the room.

"I'm 129 years old," she revealed, her expression mischievous.
