Reynolds sat in the waiting area waiting for the police superintendent. It had been 3 days since Amy's arrest and their last meeting and he couldn’t let it pile up any longer, he came in early in the morning because he needed to do something about the whole situation. Detective Jones stood behind the door of the compact sized room used as storage for the numerous files which harbored the cases that had been brought to the station since it had been erected. Cases some of which had been investigated properly while some cast away and long forgotten, their files now accumulated with dust and fraying at the edges. They filled the room at one end and spilled into the other end at one side. Detective Jones had spent half of the night moving and shoving things to one side of the room, leaving the other side of the room bare but which now had a small table with two chairs one on each side of the table sitting in it. Meanwhile, Amy was seated close to Reynolds, listening to the whole conversation, but decided not to contact any of her friends to inform them about the current developments.She didn’t even want to know what they had gone through at the detectives office.
