Chapter 6

"Fuck it dad!" I yelled as he spoke into the phone.

"You're the fucking Governor, just find out those behind this!" I yelled frustrated.

"My men are working on it" he said and I could sense his frustration. How the men keep getting away with it is what I don't know and I find it disturbing. It's downgrading that he's the Governor and such a thing is happening in his school.

"Whatever" I mumbled ending the call. This is the fucking fifth time the attack will be happening and according to him, his men haven't been able to do a thing about it, he's probably hiding something.

"She's awake sir" One of my guards said behind me.

"Okay" I mumbled turning to the direction of her ward, we're in the hospital, she fainted so they had to resuscitate her back to life. I wonder why she'd risk her life because someone got shot, I just hope she didn't get shot.

"How's she?" I asked the doctor and he bowed a little.

"Luckily, the bullet only scraped her arm" he answered and I nodded with a small smile. I looked over to the girl and saw her eyes faintly open, she kept blinking rapidly probably to stop herself from falling asleep.

"Excuse us" I ordered and he bowed before walking out, my guard also stayed behind.

"Were you out of your mind?" I asked on reaching the girl, she shut her eyes before reopening.

"Why did you have to endanger your life?" I asked but she only stared at me plainly, her face deadpanned.

"Huh? You could have gotten shot" I said.

"I did" she mumbled quietly and I scoffed gripping her arm.

"You're lucky the bullet only scraped your arm" I mumbled. She pulled away from my grip with a frown on her face.

"Is that how attack happens?" She asked, the curiosity evident on her face.

"No" I mumbled looking away but faced her immediately. "You aren't telling this to anybody, okay?" I said and she scoffed shutting her eyes.

CAMILA

I shut my eyes trying to take in all if my pain, this is just the second day, I bet I'm unlucky. "My head hurts" I mumbled painfully and he stood up immediately.

"Should I get the doctor?" He asked but I shook my head. He nodded sitting on the chair, as I drifted into my own thoughts. What was the memory I had? I have to ask dad questions then.

"Do you understand?" His voice brought me out of my reverie and I turned to him.

"Don't tell this to anybody" he ordered firmly.

"Why?" I asked quietly and he sighed.

"It's a bad reputation for the school and as the Governor's son, I need to make sure everything is in order" he said and I nodded gently.

"Okay" I mumbled shutting my eyes. Now, I understand things aren't as plain as we see them, the institution definitely have something up its sleeves but they hide it from people.

"Okay?" He asked and I nodded.

"Did.. do you know the guard?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Ohh, why did you go to him then?" He asked and I sighed, I still haven't gotten an answer to that.

"Empathy maybe" he said standing up. Is he going? I thought.

"I have to go, the school will make preparations to take you home" he said and I nodded. He walked towards the door and I sighed shutting my eyes, I really have to do this.

"Thank you" I mumbled and he stopped halfway.

"It's no biggie" he smiled walking to me and gently, he ruffled my hair.

"Get well soon" he said and I smiled gently. He clicked his tongue before walking out of the door. Phew! I exhaled shutting my eyes. Dad really have to know about this, I have to tell him. But, I stopped remembering he might make me stop schooling if I tell him, he'd tell me it's too dangerous. Goodness, I sighed trying to ignore the eerie feeling I got from this, I just hope it never happens again.

HENRY

"Let her" I ordered the guards as I stood in the balcony viewing the city. According to them, Chloe is here, she heard about the attack and she came to see me.

"Henry" she called rushing to me. "Are you okay?" She asked and I nodded gently. I reached out for a chair sitting gently on it.

"The news wouldn't travel okay? I did something about it" she said and I looked up instantly.

"What did you do?" I asked her and she smiled.

"Trust me Henry" she gave a sly smile before taking a seat. "When are you going to London?" She spoke up.

"Soon" I answered shutting my eyes, I hate having to see things this way.

"Chloe?" I called as she stared at me anxiously. "You can get the footage right?" I asked and she nodded.

"Of course Henry" she smiled widely.

"Do that for me" I ordered walking into my room while she followed behind.

"The school will do that, you don't have to worry" she said.

I exhaled turning to her, "no Chloe, this time I'd do things my way" I said firmly. She nodded gently probably wondering why I'm so interested in the school's activities, I've never been interested before. But after the attack that made me lose one of my guards, I'm definitely involving myself in this.

"You should go" I said and she nodded. She made to leave but turned back to me, she tiptoed kissing my cheeks and I pulled away instantly.

"Siblings peck" she mumbled before walking away. I fell sloppily to the bed completely drowned in my thoughts. I have to do something about this, yes I really have to.

"Henry?" Someone called and I looked up instantly. Lia? She's actually my favorite maid and the only one allowed to call me by my name.

"You weren't hurt right?" She asked and I smiled gently.

"I'm perfectly okay" I mumbled and she nodded.

"Your lunch is ready" she informed me meekly. I stared at her wondering why she's behaving sheepishly.

"Want to tell me anything Lia?" I asked and she smiled looking away.

"No Henry, you only look.. beautiful" she said.

I chuckled staring at her, that's what she was so shy about. "Thanks" I mumbled walking out. "Come join me for lunch" I said and her eyes widened immediately.

"Okay" she squealed and I chuckled mentally. Girls can be a lot dramatic. But she doesn't like me right? She better not. I laughed remembering every single girl wants me, they probably love my beautiful face. Silly of them. My thought went to Amelia but I shook it off immediately, she's my past now.
