Chapter 5

CAMILA

I walked slowly beside Ava still in thought.

"Heyy" she patted my shoulders and I jerked out of thought.

"Aren't you excited?" She asked dramatically.

"Henry is going to be playing, the last time I saw him play was 2 years ago" she squealed jumping up and I chuckled.

How often does Henry attends school? Two years ago since she saw him play? Wow!

"Are you okay?" She asked holding my arm and I nodded.

"Of course" I mumbled as Anna ran to us.

"Ava!!" she exhaled breathing heavily and I chuckled at how dramatic these two can be.

"Let's hurry" she mumbled as we rushed to the basketball court.

"Yayy" the cheering sound welcomed me immediately and glancing around, I saw him, my savior. He brushed his hair backwards swallowing and I saw his Adam's apple move. He's hot, I must say. But how old can he be? I'd probably ask Ava later.

"I want to see clearer" Ava said and Anna took her hand rushing to the front.

"Go on Henry" I heard people scream. Glancing around, I saw his bodyguards, of course they should be around, he's the Governor's son after all.

The match began as the referee blew the whistle and I stood astonished as they kept flipping the ball. A member from the opponent's team took the ball rushing towards the loop and I could swear the silence went down. Henry ran to him but the guy kept dodging and I chuckled at the expectant silence of the students here. The guy threw the ball to another person but Henry was just right there, he jumped collecting the ball and immediately, he headed towards the loop.

And phew! It went, he jumped throwing the ball up and I smiled gently. I needed no one to tell me it entered with the cheering sound that followed.

The match continued and Henry's team scored four goals while the opponent's had only one.

As soon as the game came to an end, his guards rushed towards him immediately to prevent the girls but he signalled to them and they moved back. The girls rushed to him trying to touch him and I laughed seeing Ava jumping up screaming some words. How silly she can be.

My phone rang and I took it immediately.

"Dad?" I called in surprise.

After speaking to dad which he claimed he only wanted to hear my voice, I turned to see the students walking out of the field, and slowly, I followed them. I smiled seeing they're actually going to the football field, it is a nice idea though.

HENRY

Goodness, I exhaled as the girls tried touching me. Exactly what I love most, main reason I'd always visit sometimes. I sighed walking towards the field, at least before I travel for my business classes, I have to visit the football field.

CAMILA

They entered and each person found a seat to sit while Henry was given his seat but he insisted on standing while watching the match. Girls gathered around him and for a moment, I felt irritated. Why do they have to be so unashamed? I glanced around for a seat since I couldn't see Ava and Anna in sight. And we all watched attentively to see the winner.

Halfway through the game, we all stopped hearing the sound. What was that? We all thought till we heard it again, this time louder and clearer and I needed no one to tell me, it's a gunshot.

"Everybody lie down" I heard the yell and immediately I was flat on my chest.

What's happening? I thought looking up and I saw the guards trying to get Henry out. And immediately, we heard the gunshot and I saw a guard fall down dead. What? I gasped seeing the bullet pierce through him and the guard fell down slowly to the floor.

No, I shut my eyes as I suddenly saw a flash memory. No, I shook my head slapping my head vigorously.

"Mum!!" I heard the tiny yell in my head and slowly, I was on my feet rushing to him.

"No, up!" I yelled shaking the guard.

"Stand up please!' I cried shaking him vigorously.

"Please!" I begged as he gasped for breath.

HENRY

"Please move faster sir" A guard said as I tried dodging. Jeez, don't tell me it's happening again. I turned back to see the guard but stopped when I saw a girl with him.

What's she doing? I said pointing at her direction and my guards turned to the direction immediately.

"Let's get you out sir" a guard tried saying but I shook my head staring at the girl. Why's she endangering her life?

"Stand up!" I yelled out but she only kept shaking the lifeless body.

"Heyy" I yelled out but she wasn't hearing, and I did the unimaginable. I pulled away from the guards rushing to her.

"Hey" I yelled pulling her to her feet and I saw tears pour down from her face.

"Sir!" I heard my guards yell and I looked up to see the gun pointed at us or should I say me?

Quick, I dodged the bullet as he released it. I held the girl as we hid behind a pillar. The girl whimpered and I looked down to see her bloody shoulders. No, she didn't get shot, did she?

"No" she whimpered slowly and I covered her mouth to stop her from making anymore noise.

I heard the footsteps and I looked up to see the gun pointed directly at me, the person with a smirk. No, I shut my eyes instantly. And straight I heard the gunshot but I felt no piercing, slowly I opened my eyes to see one of my guards pointing the gun fiercely at the guy who has just been shot. Ohh, the guard shot him in the leg. And quick, he limped taking the door as the guards tried rushing after him.

"No" I yelled trying to run but I realized I was still holding the girl.

I looked down only to see her eyes closed.

"Hey" I called tapping her frantically but she only shut her eyes.

"Hey!" I yelled in fear helping her to the floor.

"Sir?" I heard the voice call and I looked up instantly.

"He escaped, we should go" one of my guards said and I nodded staring at the girl.

"The school will get her to the hospital but we need to be out of here" he said but I shook my head.

"I'd go with" I said standing up before carrying the almost lifeless girl in my arms slowly out of the field. And I realized, students scampered off already, they came for me then. But who are they then?
