——*Kennedi's POV*——
————*Elias’ POV*————She said that she'd been hanging with elves. I absolutely just could not believe my ears. I was seriously questioning my sanity and my ability to hear. Was she serious? Kennedi, you have to be joking right now.
——*Kennedi's POV*——So, Elias actually went through with the punishment. I believed it but then again I didn't. I guess he must have been fed up with me.I honestly think he's tired of me. I thought about my life the whole time I cleaned the pack house. It was the only thing that blinded me from my disgust right now.
————*Elias’ POV*————The very next day, I shifted & went to the woods to search for the elf queen’s scent. I made Kennedi give me her shirt after her bath so I could track the scent.
——*Kennedi's POV*——Elias went to the woods and searched for Evern. In order to do so, he demanded that I give him my shirt before that; so I did. I regretted it but I had to do it. I hoped he wouldn’t harm Evern. I should actually be worried about Elias. I hoped Evern didn’t harm him. Oh, god. What should I do?It had been
——*Kennedi's POV*——Yes!! I was so surprised this morning. I shouldn't be but I couldn't believe Elias kept his word about the breakfast. We actually had a hearty breakfast the next morning which wasn't typical anymore since Florence wasn't here anymore. It was nice.We talked to each other about our feelings, each other's actions
——*Kennedi's POV*—— He was just a liar. He didn't care about me. Even though I know that's a lie, that's exactly what I always tell myself. I knew with all my heart that Elias cared for me. He may care for me more than he cares for himself. Maybe, just maybe.
————*Elias' POV*————It’s been over a week. I guess she was still angry. Whenever we returned home, she didn't even look my way. I still hadn’t apologized but she made it so hard for me to do so. I tried with everything in my power to take Evern’s advice, but every time I tried, I heard a door slam. Kennedi doesn’t make things easy.
————*Narrator's POV*————Elias was about to answer Kennedi's question, but there was sudden knock at the door. They weren’t expecting anyone at this time of night. He went downstairs to answer the door. To his surprise, it was Florence and she was bloody. He knew because he smelled the metallic scent. "Hm, why is she here so late," is what he thought.
