Janet woke up to find herself again in an unfamiliar room.

Her head was feeling heavy, and she was thirsty.

She wanted to get up and drink some water to soothe her throat, but she felt a heavy weight in her waist.

Edwin was sleeping beside her, sitting on a chair, and his arm was circling her waist.

She tried to move them slowly, but she was too weak and his arm was holding her too tightly.

She again attempted, which made Edwin stir and he woke up jolted.

“You are awake?” He rubbed her face to shake away his sleepiness.

Edwin couldn’t sleep the entire night thinking Janet could wake up any moment.

Just after dawn, he was too exhausted to fight his sleep and dozed off.

“Let me call the doctor,” Edwin tried to stand up, but he almost lost his balance and Janet held him to balance.

“It’s fine. I am Ok. Just give me some water,” Janet said in a hoarse tone. She was angry with him and wanted to stay away from him but couldn’t hold her anger seeing his state.
