Edwin returned to his office after a while and sat in his chair tiredly.

He was exhausted mentally.

His door opened and when he looked up to see who entered without his permission, he was surprised to see it was Janet.

“Good morning,” Janet said timidly, but he didn’t reply as he couldn’t believe his eyes.

First, he had kept her inside his house under guard; secondly; she avoided him after Edwin forcefully brought her back.

So why would she be here?

“Are... you avoiding me?” Janet asked when Edwin didn’t reply.

“Huh…what are you doing here?” Edwin came out of his daze and replied curiously.

“I wanted to talk,” Janet said nervously.

But he decided to listen before he could sort out his point of view.
