“Don’t behave like a hooligan,” Janet mumbled, and Edwin snickered.

“Hooligan?” Edwin asked.

“Didn’t I say I don’t want you to come close to me?” Janet asked.

“But you fell on me,” Edwin countered, making Janet irked up.

“You…” Janet was going to scold him, but she didn’t.

They were silently sitting and looking at the TV, which was turned off long back.

“Why did you do this all the time?” Janet asked and Edwin turned his face toward her but Janet wasn’t looking at him.

“As much as I want to stay away from you, you don’t let me.” Janet slowly said, but her words held accusation.

She was annoyed at how much Edwin affected her still, she couldn’t do anything about this.

She was getting sucked in him and like he was a black hole pulling her toward him and she could do nothing to ignore this pull.

“Why do you want to stay away? Did you never feel the emotions between us?” Edwin asked finally.

He was confused as to why she wanted to stay away when Edwin could see he affected her as much as
