Janet wasn’t staying still in Edwin’s arms.

“Why are you kidnapping me? Are you an evil man like Edwin?” Janet felt her earth was moving before she found herself in Edwin’s arms.

She didn’t like a stranger touching her, but then his touch felt so familiar that she was confused.

“Yeah, I am,” Edwin replied angrily, and Janet was alert.

“Hey, bad guy. Help… he is kidnapping me.” Janet was trying to get off his arm, but Edwin’s hold was strong.

“Stay still, otherwise I will throw you in the sea,” Edwin threatened, and Janet stopped moving.

Her eyes teared up in fear, and she was sobbing silently, hiding her face in his chest.

His shirt got wet with her snot, but he didn’t mind.

He felt so angry with himself that he made her feel so pathetic, but he didn’t know how to coax someone.

How would he? He hadn’t coaxed anyone, ever.

Not even his sister, because she would forget her grievance if he would buy her something expensive.

But he knew Janet was different.

He could never coax her with ex
