I stood in the crowd feeling left out and out of place. It wasn't my intention to attend king Adrean's ball. But Jack made me, I tried to reason with him but he couldn't barge. After all, he was the one invited not me. But he believed I could be lucky and find Paula or one of his ladies. He really was foolish, but I went on with his request because I needed to think straight and wanted to be in the presence of new people.
