Aliaria’s Point of ViewKai and I shared a look. This sounded really bad. I didn’t even know they could give punishments. Also, were we involved in the punishment too? It was weird because we weren’t even caught. As if the announcement had just put a damper on our moods, we stopped rushing so much and the energy to even go out was sapped. I dragged my feet on the carpeted floor and eventually made it to the bathroom. Somehow we had separate bathrooms but shared the same bed. Who even thought you the plan for these cabins anyways? I coke out of the bathroom, coincidentally the same time Kai does. He doesn’t notice me so I can ogle him for a while. I almost slap myself back to my senses. What was wrong with me?“Ari, I can feel your eyes on me. Like what you see?” Kai says, startling me and causing a blush ti spread across my cheeks. Of course I had to be caught. Luckily, he was facing away from me so I could save a little bit of my dignity. I walk to the vanity and start to out on lot
Aliaria’s Point of ViewI would so kill Kai. Every single time o thought things were good with us, he went out of his way to prove that we were indeed never meant to be friends. Did any of yesterday mean nothing to him? Was it just a way to get an in with Jena? He deliberately was turning them against me. I don’t know how he thinks this whole partnership worked but sabotaging me meant he was also sabotaging himself too. Now though, it was like I was at fault. The rest of the people I hoped to fall friends at this arena also pushed past me. I was lucky that I wasn’t going to be mailed. I think they may try to attack me later but for now, there’s nothing yet. I wait for everyone to finally leave the whole place before I try to carry my empty tray again. Kai was also seated. He was so unbothered about the whole incident. When I try to get up, he does the same and I glared at him. “What did I do?” He asks, emphasizing on the I part like a petulant child. I push past him before dumping
Aliaria’s Point of ViewI shouldn’t have screamed his name. I just didn’t know what to do at all. I was frozen in spot and I couldn’t let these people get at Kai. My voice stops the for a bit so I know I at least slowed down the beating that was on its way. However, it wasn’t going to stop it. I clearly could not take them on no matter how strong I was. All I hoped to do was to at least still them for a little bit. However, I partially regretted getting involved. The looks they gave me as I interrupted their clear as day bullying was terrifying. They looked like they were going to pound me too into a pulp. Why was I even defending Kai? I am mad at him. Everything is kind of his fault. However, I had a mini obligation to at least won this for the pack. I have no idea how the pack is faring now amidst all the attacks. That was my least concern now because the burliest of the group stepped forward menacingly, folding his arms across his broad chest. “This is none of your business. I s
Aliaria’s Point of ViewIt wasn’t today that I have been accused of bad luck following me. That has to be the only explanation that made sense. Either that or the moon goddess was after me. I looked at the listings again to make sure that I wasn’t misreading anything or there was a mistake somewhere but there was none. The ones in charge of these games made sure it was really easy to read these lists. Even now, our pictures were right there besides our names. I looked at the picture again, feeling the terror already mounting I know I’m good at combat but one look at my opponent and I knew that it wouldn’t be easy. Kai clears his throat beside me and I remembered he needed to look at the listings too. I step aside so he could see, unconsciously brushing against him, not realizing how close to me he was. I apologize as I move and I catch him glance down. Then I remembered I was just in a flimsy towel and a make shift turban from another towel wrapped on my head. I must be a sight. I ti
Aliaria’s Point of ViewI woke up with my heart racing. It was like my body already knew what was ahead of me right now. I sat up quickly and looked over to realize that Kai didn’t even sleep in her last night. My very first thought is that he slept with another female but I couldn’t care less. He can do whatever he wants to. I am obviously jealous but I won’t let that affect me right now. I look at the glowing clock on the bedside table. It was just 4am. Well, I slept off really early and I’m not used to getting so much sleep so of course I woke up early. I slip into a tank top and some leggings. I could stay today like my typical routine. I went out to go running for a little while. I love the quiet but I hate it at the same time. I’m used to music blocking my ears as I run but right now, it was so silent I could hear myself think. I didn’t need that. Running is meant to be mindless. I continue running the route between the cabins and the gym. Aware of ever single sound, I heard wh
Aliaria’s Point of ViewI couldn’t look anymore. I covered my face with my hands. We are so cooked. This loss can set us back a whole lot. Kai was good but his opponent was a straight up menace. He continued hitting Kai repeatedly, breaking his nose further and further. You would think I would be used to so much blood by now but I wasn’t. With each blow, my heart sank lower and lower. I don’t know how but I was hoping for a miracle now. Maybe he would discover a strength he didn’t know about if he just dug deeper. I wanted to yell at the to stop the whole fight or something but I know werewolves. We fight till we lose consciousness. At least, it isn’t till the death. There it was. The miracle. I see Kai’s had twitch and I see his claws lengthen. The moon goddess does answer prayers it seems. It took one slash to weaken the opponent. I think he was more strength than endurance because soon, Kai was on him and hitting as hard. It was a good thing. My hear rate had slowed down now. At l
Aliaria’s Point of View The speed at which I fell to the mat covered floor was even shocking to me. It all happened so fast that I barely even registered the pain. I don’t know why I even had the idea that she may go easy on me or at least not throw her whole life and being into defeating me . I see the entire plan now. She had planned to butter me up so I would most likely go soft on her. I recover and pounce back on my feet. I could see the satisfaction on her face and I knew that I was done for. I decided to go on the defensive end and I tried my best to block her jabs. She was coming at me really fast. I was working based on pure adrenaline and no skill. I just needed her to tire out so I can switch to the offense. For the first few minutes, she still looked like she could keep going and I was already getting tired myself. However, I felt encouraged when I saw that she has began to slow down. I just needed to win this. If I did, it may put Kai and I at the top of the scoreboard.
Aliaria’s Point of View.Everything seemed so far away. I could hear the voices spurring me on but I couldn’t lift my eyelids. They were too heavy. I needed to sleep. I just needed to recover. I was so tired. I could see my children playing in the sun. I wanted to run to them. I have missed them so much. Life was so different without seeing them for so long. I missed making their lunches. Alyssa waved at me and I waved back enthusiastically. I was coming for them. I gather them into my arms. “Mummy, you have to get up.” Alyssa keeps on telling me repeatedly. Suddenly, I remember who all this is for. I get a little strength and I can push open my eyelids. The announcers were looking for on both Jena and me maybe checking to see if we were both unconscious. It was still a struggle to keep my eyelids open. With all the Josie and clamoring from the spectators, I was having a roaring headache. Holding my head, I try to stand up but I cannot. “It appears that there is a tie. Both opponent
Aliaria POV“How is he doctor?” Kaidon asked the moment we walked into the pack hospital.Dawson ’s body was beyond recognizable. His face was swollen and dirts were coming out of his lips in the form of mucus.“Whoever did this to him is the sick” The pack doctor confessed as he stepped away from his body.“His wolf is still there and I can still find a pulse. But I don’t think he will be able to get through” The doctor revealed.“Something must be done about the situation” Kaidon declared. “The only possible solution to what is happening to him is to find the antedote to what has been done to him” The pack doctor explained.“What is the cause of his swollen body?” I asked.“He was bitten severly by multiple deadly scorpion. I think these scorpions must have the most deadliest venom for his body to be in this state” The pack doctor revealed. An antedote. How is it possible to get this antedote?Kaidon tapped my shoulders and gestured for me to walk out of the room with him.By
Author Pov“Sieze him!” Kieran ordered and a group of soldiers rushed forward and yanked Dawson ’s hand, forcing him to the ground.“Kieran , he is my champion” Kaidon argued as he watched his brother man handled by the pack soldiers.“Your champion is going to answer for his crimes. He just killed an Alpha and he must pay for it” Kieran replied and demanded that he be taken away.Aliaria watched in dismay as Dawson is led out of the room. She turned to see Kieran whispering something into Willow ’s ear and she got up to her feet and also walked out of the room.Aliaria could sense that something fishy was going on and they were hiding it.Meanwhile Dawson is unfazed as he is led down te basement. He was used to the torture already. The whip never silenced him but merely made him much stronger. The soldiers tied him to the pole and he is stripped off his cloth.“You should consider using a much thicker whip. This one is too old” Dawson suggested to the captain. The captain fe
Aliaria PovThe early morning was unusually quiet. Ashton my personal guard was leading me through the tunnel till we arrived alongside other champions.Today a crowd awaits and I could feel their energy, even down the tunnel. “You are early” I said to Dawson as I stayed by his side.“I am always early” He replied with a smile.I looked down his hand and noticed a change in his weapon.“An axe? What happened to your sword?” I asked with sheer curiosity.“The game is unpredictable and I just have a slight feeling that I might be needing this” He replied with a shrug.I wanted to say something but the doors are opened and we stormed out of the underground pit to a loud cheering crowd. My eyes scanned the entire crowd and soaked up the euphoric atmosphere. My eyes landed at Kaidon and he smiled in my direction.Kieran and Willow were also seated for the first time since the beginning of the tournament.“Why is Willow suddenly interested in this tournament?” I asked Dawson beside m
Aliaria Pov“It has become very obvious that Kieran plans to kill one of us before the tournament is over” Dawson said as we sat down at the training center. It was deep into the night and with my magical necklace, I had been able to cause a lot of the solders to fall into deep sleep, which allows us time to talk.“Which is why we need to come up with a plan.” Kaidon replied, while stroking my hair with his hand. “We are giving Kieran too much power. He threatens to end my pack at will because he knows that there is nothing I can do about it”“One of us has to win the tournament.” Dawson mentioned.“One of us?” Kaidon and I echoed as we looked at Dawson .“Don’t tell me you are planning to fight Aliaria if the both of you ever meet in the final round” Kaidon said.“I have been loyal and I don’t intend to go back on my word. Aliaria is going to win but at the same time, I want her to win honorably” At first my brain was trying to process everything he was saying.“In what way
Aliaria PovTo say that I was happy was understatement. As Dawson is being taken away, I could tell that his message has reached every ear including that of Kieran, who I noticed was still struck in fear. The games were finally over and all the Alphas were walking out of the hall. Kaidon gestured with his hands to meet him at the training ground and I smiled in response.“I know what you saw at the tournament ground today has been absolutely shocking” said the captain, who has come to address us.“What Dawson has done today should not repeat itself amongst any of the champion. None of you have the right to attack Alpha Kieran. No one!” He yelled and turned to look at my direction.“Wipe away that smile on your face woman!” He yelled and my face changed into a frown. The captain approached me and stared into my eyes for a moment, while I looked away from him.“I saw what you did”I turned to look at him and a smirk came to his face.“I….I don’t know what you are talking about” I repli
Dawson Pov“What is the meaning of this madness!”I turned around to look at Kaidon, who has risen up to his feet with his face glaring angrily at Kieran.“Alpha Kaidon, you have always questioned everything I have done. So what you say holds no water right now” Kieran dismissed with his hand and turned to the arena. My heart was beating fast as the rogues all circled me like they were predators ready to devor their preys.I croaked my neck to look at Aliaria. She was shaking her head aggressively as she noticed the smile on my face. She really thinks I will not be able to take on the rogues even with my hands tied.“Tell me something Alpha…” I said, confidently turning to look at Kieran. “Am I allowed to let free of the ropes and find a weapon against these rogues?” I asked, looking at the rogues. Some had their swords and others had their clubs with them.“You are allowed to break free from the ropes, but I doubt if you can because they are tight” He said and laughed menacingly.Kai
Dawson PovWaking up in the morning was the easiest thing to do for me.I was swinging my sword in the training centre, while wondering why Aliaria had not arrived at the center when the soldier watching over me rushed to the room.“There has been a serious problem” He revealed, picking up the swords on the floor. At the entrance of the door, I noticed a group of soldiers walking past the centre and I could sense they were heading for the champions section.“Borillo is dead” I turned my head to the soldier that had spoken, hoping he wasn’t kidding with his words but from all indication, he was correct.“What happened to him?” I asked as we both head out of the training room.“I don’t know. They found his body at the left wing” Left wing.Left wing.My eyes widened as I realized the only person to have known about that place was Aliaria.“And Aliaria?” I asked as I increased my steps.“She is fine.” We arrived at Aliaria’s room and I found her on the floor with tears in her eyes.“C
Aliaria POV“For the love of the moon goddess, you like taking too much risk” Borillo whispered behind me as we moved further into the hall of the left wing.“There is no one here” He added again as we pulled the door opened revealing a dark and empty room. “I told you this was all some fairy tale, nothing evil ever happens down here”This isn’t right. The magical necklace can never lie and I knew exactly what I had felt the very moment I passed the left wing.“This must be some type of illusion.” I mentioned to Borillo as I walked further into the room.“No, you are the delusional one here. It is late at night and I can only wonder what I am going to tell the captain if he sees the both of us wondering around this place” He said and rolled his eyes in disgust.“Don’t blame me!” I feigned innocence and rolled my eyes at him. “I am doing this to know what could have possibly happened to the other champion” I said to him.He stepped forward and my eyes latched unto one of the tiles on t
Kaidon Pov“I want to appreciate every one of you for making it out of your busy schedules and coming to blood moon pack for this tournament” Kieran said.We were all seated at a round table for the first meeting. Many of the Alphas seemed excited for the tournament, but I wasn’t comfortable with the idea.Kieran and Willow has proven over time that they are a crafty set of people and whatever move they make always have a reason.“Every Champion representing all the Alphas have been given a place to stay and well fed before the tournament.”“You always try to sideline my pack Kieran.” I voiced out and interrupted his speech.“We are sorry if you consider it sidelining but I can recall that I sent some of my soldiers down to Silver Moon Pack to inform you about the tournament and you drove them away” Kieran explained with a scowl on his face.“I think you are right. My champion is also part of the people that has arrived but he hasn’t been given a proper treatment” I replied.“If you a
