THE TRAP CAUGHT A PRINCESS

Rhea could sense someone coming towards her through the foliage, but the wind was blowing in the opposite way, so she could not even rely on her senses to tell who it was.

She heard another snap, and she shifted, staring at the spot it had come from. For a moment if she wondered if she should hide or prepare to fight the mysterious person causing a rustle in the trees. After the incident at the fighting grounds yesterday, Rhea felt like she had somehow made things worse.

After all, Xavier got mad at Layla in front of everyone. And the pack members loved Layla, meaning, they had more reason to dislike Rhea now. So could someone be crazy enough to try to get back at her.

The rustling sound got even closer, until a blonde hair came into view, and Chloe popped out, brushing some leaves off her hair.

Rhea let out a loud sigh. “It’s you. Thank goodness, you got me scared for a second there.”
