I think something was wrong with me.

The world seemed to stop and everyone stood there unmoving like statues.

I believed my ears weren't working because there was no way they said my little survivor was missing.

“Kitten?” Someone that sounded oddly like Davian called but the haze of denial wouldn't let me identify who it was.

“Who did you say was missing again?” I asked, even though everything around me was slowly looking like a fog I couldn't navigate through.

Davian didn't get to complete his words when he was interrupted by a heart-wrenching choked scream.

“Mika” Shiro called painfully and I realized it came from me. My throat was closing up. I couldn't breathe.

I reached out my hand to Davian needing a pillar and he was at my side in an instant drawing me into his arms.

“Breathe, Kitten.” He urged but I couldn't “I promise you I will turn the earth over to find him today” He promised but I didn't want promises. I just wanted my little boy.
