I was in the throne room, looking down with my hands secured behind my back with an emotionless look in my eyes.

In this fucking cage of a castle, displaying emotions had become one hell of a task. One cannot show their feelings.

But then again, if I did, he would kill me.

“Make sure it won’t happen again, Athena. I won’t hesitate next time. A human and werewolf cannot be one.” My Lord ordered strictly, frowning at me. He was still pissed at me that I kissed Darius.

“I understand. I apologize.” I whispered coldly.

Not lifting my eyes from the ground. I didn’t want to enrage him further so I kept my affectation.

But the thought of him killing Darius made my soul tremble.

“Hmm?”

Arching an eyebrow at my demeanor, he rose from his seat and walked towards me, hitching my breaths but I remained silent and unaffected.

“Answer me truthfully, Athena.” He asked huskily, sliding his index finger under my chin, lifting it.

“What?” I asked coldly, not meeting his eyes.

“Did you mean i
