Kylie’s pov

Sasha did seem a little discouraged as she stared at me like I was just trying to make them scared for nothing.

Arnold's beta soon arrived with a key to hand over to Arnold, who collected it and asked a few questions, but I couldn’t really hear anything as he was whispering very silently.

Arnold told us immediately that we needed to leave everything behind and run. We ran quickly through the woods and when we hadn’t gotten far we saw Karl’s men and cars driving to the old hideout, making everyone look at me with a grateful expression.

We ran as fast as our legs could carry us through the dense woods. The sound of twigs snapping under the weight of our hurried footsteps echoed in the quiet forest. Fear and adrenaline pumped through my veins, pushing me to keep going despite the exhaustion setting in.
