Chapter 63.

HALFDAN'S POV

The heavy wooden door to the council hall swung open abruptly, creaking on its hinges as my Beta, Drake, burst into the room with an intense expression.

“How dare you enter without notifying us first?” Elder James scolded, his voice filled with anger. I sighed inwardly, knowing that the elders were very strict about maintaining respect and protocol.

I could already tell they were going to make a big deal out of this, dragging the issue out and making it more complicated than it needed to be.

“This council hall is one of the most revered and sacred places in the pack,” Elder Thomas chimed in, his tone equally stern. “You have no right to barge in without giving us a proper announcement.”

I rolled my eyes once more, feeling a mix of irritation and resignation. Clearing my throat, I prepared to address the situation.
