NORA

I could not believe Horace did not listen to me... after all, we told him, he still did not agree.

I placed my hand on my forehead as I shook my head. Strolling through the hallway, I thought of where to go.

I didn't want to return to my chambers... Horace might return and see me there. I just did not want to see him... all I wanted to do was find my mother.

Ever since Lilith confirmed she was still alive, I tried my very best to make sure it wasn't a fact.

Days ago, I visited my home. I took a deep breath, pushing the door as it squeaked open. The air was musty as cobwebs hung from the ceiling, and everything was covered in dust, finding its way into my nose as I began to sneeze.

I remembered the days when I grew up. I was missing my mom and knew that she was still alive, but I had no idea where she was.

The house has been empty ever since I and my mother tried to flee the pack. I just realized my mistake.
