"All my life I have been cheated on, first my brother was made Alpha king of the pack and then the so-called goddess isn't giving me idiots as a mate... Arrghhh" I said to myself, resting my head on the table, I dozed off.
With the sound of the alarm and the reflection of the sun directly in my eye, I stretched and yawned while I turned off the alarm.
Quickly, I had a shower and washed my mouth; I had business to settle urgently.
"Walker, did you notice anything again?" I asked one of the dungeon keepers as I strode through the hallway.
"She has been fierce since she regained consciousness..."
"That's odd, she regained consciousness already?" I asked again.
"Yes Alpha, she has been hitting on the bars fiercely the past few days and asking about her mother" Walker responded as we walked up to where she was.
This time she was lying down, but immediately after we got there she lifted her head.
"Gavner where is my mother?" Lenora asked I could see the anger in her eyes.
They were swollen like she cried all night.
Something was odd about this wolf, she has always been a nerd but today she is disrespecting me.
"Lenora Silverberg, you should be begging no.... licking my feet for your safety but here you are asking about your mother who died like a chicken.." she cut me off.
"Noo, don't you ever call my mother that, I have to find out by myself," Lenora said and I laughed out hard alongside Walker who turned his face over to the other side.
"Little fierce lady, save your strength because you will need it to serve your new masters," I said immediately as I turned away from her.
"No, you can not do this to me... you can not reject me and sell me off" she pleaded.
"You know, I am forgiving the fact that you were running away with your mother, so you've got to shut your mouth"
"Take her!! they would be here soon" I said walking away.
"Yes," Walker said as she opened the bars, helping her out.
Walking into the hall, omegas, betas, warriors, and guards had already gathered, it was something that always happens whenever I reject a mate.
"Is she the one?" One of the bidders asked as he pointed at Lenora who was staggering as she walked in.
All heads turned toward her direction as murmurings could be heard.
"Yes, she is," I responded, crossing my hands behind my back and entwining my fingers.
"She looks pretty and would serve a great purpose," another bidder said.
"Sure, Gavner always serves us to our taste..., she is worth the amount"
"When are we taking her?" The first bidder said as he stood up and walked up to Lenora, taking a good glare at her.
"You can take her once the payment is made" I responded as I turned around to face the people.
Clearing my throat, "is anyone against my choice of selling her off?" I asked even when I know that no one was going to say anything unless they were ready to join her.
I looked around the hall, they were all murmuring to themselves quietly.
"Then that settles it," I concluded.

ALPHA HORACE POV
"Absolutely wrong... Nora isn't leaving this room" I said with so much strength in me.
As I walked in, heads turn to stare at me. Quickly they all bowed to show their respect.
The first person my eyes searched for was Nora, she was the reason I brought myself to my insensitive brother's gathering.
Upon hearing my voice, she raised her head and stared at me, she was been supported by Walker, and her eyes were red and dull... the look in her eyes when she saw me staring at her, she must have cried a lot.
Walking up the podium, my eyes didn't leave her face for once.
"Alpha Horace..." I heard her whisper my name with the little strength left in her, a call for help.
"Why are you disrupting my gathering?" Gavner asked me as he glared.
"Since everyone is here, I will like to say something very important" I responded as I adjusted my wristwatch.
" Horace, your announcement has nothing to do with me or this gathering," Gavner said fiercely as she moved so close to me, glaring into my eyes.
"It's Alpha Horace, I am your king... Alpha king of Midnight Prowlers" I corrected.
Turning to the crowd, "I was supposed to call for a gathering but since my brother called for one, I would be making use of the opportunity" I made myself clear.
"Lenora Silverberg, one of our own was given as a mate four nights ago to... Gavner, my brother" I stated as I stared at the bidders who were confused and Gavner asking them to have patience.
"...., She was rejected; she turned out to be the third mate Gavner is rejecting, I convinced my brother to claim her back of which I am surprised by this sight" I added as I pointed towards Gavner and the bidders.
"I have tried to put them in place but Gavner stated that he was in no way interested in her. Gavner.." I called staring at him "Your decision to reject Nora took me off guard and of course, it saddens me"
I saw Nora put her head up, only her mother calls her by the name Nora.
"Even though we are all aware that her position has been eliminated. She has been kicked out by the pack and lost her mother in a ghastly car accident...," She puts her head down as tears rolled down her cheeks, it hurt my heart.
It didn't seem like she cared about what people were saying about her.
"With my position, I've had to consult some elders amongst us and the legends on how I can help this current situation due to this... circumstance." After a brief pause, I turned to look at her.
"In line with the scrolls—" I took out a worn-out scroll that had obviously seen better days.
Everyone was aware of the legends. Anyone who wanted to consult them might do so.
I continued "Although it is uncommon, it does happen to have your mate rejects you." I rolled the scroll to the ending. "I will read what the last two alphas had to say." 'Although it is understandable to have a mate rejected, it is not required to get rid of anyone from the pack.' "We are a pack and a unit, thus I have issued a law after consulting many elders from other packs." I halted and raised my head. "There can be no other option if the rejection has been accepted by both parties. Then an unmated male or female of the rejected line can claim the rejected for themselves." I rolled up the scroll carefully. "You all know I'm not mated," I said as I stole a glance at her. "I, Horace Wolfgrimm claims Lenora Silverberg as mine and the Luna of this pack," I declared not minding the murmurings from the people. With that said, I walked up to Nora and placed my hand on her back and her knee joint. Subconsciously, she curled her hand around my neck and I lifted her. Out of Ga
"And while I'm doing that... you have to accept it," Horace snarled at him."But. I do not understand why you are doing this; why did you claim her? "You haven't been gifted, but you claimed my mate." I heard Gavner spit at Horace.I wondered why he was so interested in me when he rejected me."Obviously, she doesn't love you. You can just say I'm cleaning up your dirty game." Horace smirked."A true mate is very rare, and when you find yourself with three, you reject them like they are some piece of trash. I did not expect you to think of selling her off, but then I picked up your pieces, and this is one of the reasons this pack was never handed over to you.... And now, while I'm still being nice to you, elder brother, leave my house.""That is an order."Gavner had always been a selfish man. From the time he was a little boy, knowing it was his fate to take over from their father as the first son, he never devoted his time to the pack. always taking everything he seemed to want for
There was a firm knock on the door, and two maids walked in."Your Majesty, My Lady," they said with a bow. "Queen Mother requested your presence at lunch," one of them said."Along with your mate," the other person completed."You can leave now," Sarah ordered as they bowed and took their leave."She must have been worried when the news got to her," Sarah said to Horace as he sighed.I was sure the queen's mother was Horace's mother; I'd never set my eyes on her.I couldn't help but wonder what she was like.Sarah walked up to me. "Your Majesty, My Lady," she said, holding out her hand towards me. "Shall I prepare Her Highness?""Sure, you should... I will get ready as well.""Prepare her in the best way you can," Horace said, not taking his eyes off me."Yes, Your Majesty." I was led into the bathroom, where Sarah helped me shower and wash my hair."Your Highness, feel free to ask me anything bothering you," Sarah said as she rinsed out the soap from my body.I raised my head, star
"And then we will have to prove to her that she is not fit to be a mate or a queen..." One of the ladies said. "She's such a lowlife," another claimed. They made a toast and sipped from their glasses. Regardless of how they displayed their stupidity, I kept on eating... I have not eaten a nice meal in the past few days. "I can't believe he reclaimed the messy bitch I rejected, hmph," Gavner said with a clenched jaw as he narrowed his eyes toward me. "Well, they suit each other." They're messy and clumsy. They always take positions that don't belong to them." Wow! That statement. I finally understood where all the hate was coming from, and I suddenly had the urge to speak up for Horace. I wanted to teach them a lesson. "You must have heard that your mate is an illegitimate son, who stole the throne from me, his elder brother?" Gavner asked me as he dropped the wine glass on the table. I have held myself back enough. "I think it's unproductive of you to dwell on rumors because
I walked out of the room and shut the door behind me.I needed to find a way to let Candra out of my life, even though I knew it would not be that easy.I walked into my study room. Candra was sitting there as usual, but today I wasn't feeling her."Why did you have to claim a mate when you know how much I love you?" She asked."Candra, I'm not in the mood for this," I said as I walked up to my chair and sat down."You are avoiding me; you just used me, and now you dumped me because of a woman your brother rejected? It doesn't make sense!" She cursedI ignored her, but she didn't look like she was going to leave me.She stood up, slightly. She continuously tapped her artificial nails on the table as she slowly walked up to me, rubbing her hands in a slow motion around my ears, down to my shoulders, then slipping her hand inside my robe, touching my chest, and beginning to fall in excruciatingly slow designs. She pulled my robe off as she suckled on my nipples, making me groan, and her
She saw all that! "You looked like you were enjoying every moment of it." She paused and puffed her nose. I held her hand tightly, waiting for her to spill all she had to say to me, but she was dead silent. "I'm sorry, I think I am overreacting," she said, releasing my grip on her as she wiped the tears running down her eyes. With a faint smile touching my lips, I placed my hands on her shoulders. I definitely understood her, and I knew what was running up there in her head. She was probably still considering herself lucky enough to be reclaimed by me, so she feels she is involved in my affairs. Slowly, I led her to the bed as the air became cool. "No, you are not overreacting; I know it was so wrong of me to do that." "I'm in a tight corner, letting Candra off me, and everyone is talking about how I reclaimed my brother's rejected mate." She looked down, wrapping her arms around herself as her lips quivered. "..of which I don't give a fuck because everything I do now... is def
There was a knock on the door, and Sarah went to tend to it.A maid eavesdropped into her ears, she nodded and shut the door."Her Highness, it's time." She said walking up to me, wearing some jewelry on both my wrists and my neck. I walked out of the room, following Sarah as she led the way. She held my hand as we descended the stairs leading to the passage. We met a young man standing at the exit, I had no idea what signs they exchanged but he nodded and opened the exit door leading to the garage."He is the driver," Sarah whispered into my ears. They were up to seventeen designer cars I had never seen in my life. The driver walked faster, then opened the limousine for me, carefully held up my dress, and I hopped in.Sarah sat in the front seat with him as he started the limousine, then drove out of the castle.I wondered where everyone was because, while strolling out, the castle looked empty. The driver drove into a place that looked so familiar... It was the hall where I got rej
After the ceremony, we rode home in silence. I hated it because it made me nervous but it gave me time to think about what I was going to give Horace as a response. Twenty four hours was already coming to an end. Then, I remembered the wedding consummation. A guy had never come close to me not to even think of touching me before, my mother made sure of that, and now I would be giving it to a man I really have feelings for. I wasn't scared but I just hoped he would accept me more. There's still more I want and hope for... even though he had just let go of Candra, I knew she was definitely going to come back. "All these ceremonies aren't worth it," Horace said as he broke the silence. "What do you mean?" I asked turning around in a comfortable way so I could see his face. "If Gavner decides to claim you back... I'm afraid he can do so," Horace said, as we locked our eyes, I could see the softness for me right there in his eyes. Even though he wasn't as bad as his elder brother, h
