STEFAN'S POV

We had moved somewhere else in the woods which was not affected by the disaster which Valon and his warriors had caused.

I laid my back on a tree, thinking of how Valon must have felt good, ridiculing me. I looked at my wounds. They were healing up and I was feeling better. It felt as if looking at the deep blue sky was charging me up.

"Alpha." Diego called me.

"I told you I do not want to speak to anyone for now."

"I understand Alpha. But you are hurting."

"As you can see, my wounds are healing up pretty fast."

"I understand Alpha. But I mean you are hurting inside and when Melissa isn't here, it is my responsibility to be a shoulder you can lean on."
