AUTHOR'S POV

As the three of them stood in the hallway, waiting for the surgeon to come out of the OR, Hugo and Evelyn began to talk about the accident that happened.

“Whoever pushed her off, drugged her. That would explain why there were no signs of struggle on her body at all. Her claws weren't even out, no dead skin under her fingernails.” Hugo scowled.

“We can always find the person who did it, my main issue is why didn't the maids deem it fit to report it to anyone? Why did they just stand there like spectators, watching her die in her own pool of blood?” Evelyn yelled out with anger, while Odessa just sat down on one of the chairs, pulling her knees close to her chest as she stared into the air.

Hugo sighed, he didn't know he'd explain it to her that incidents like these were never reported because the lives of the maids were so little and ignorant in the lycan realm.
