Chapter 29

AUTHOR’S POV

After they finished shopping for the clothes and other accessories they would need at the game, the trip began to head for the palace. Hugo and Evelyn made small talks on the way while the Princess was quiet and drowning in her thoughts.

Hugo had suggested they involve her in their conversation, but Evelyn told him that the Princess was having some critical thinking and it was best they left her alone.

When they arrived at the hallway of the north wingz they were stopped by the King.

“Good day Your Majesty,” Evelyn and Odessa curtsied while Hugo bowed.

Odessa could feel Kaiden’s gaze on her but she refused to look up and meet his eye. Shame and guilt flooded her as she remembered their conversation last night. The only evidence she had that he'd come back to the room was the fact that she'd slept on the floor and woken up on the bed, properly tucked in.
