Jessie's POV
All eyes were on me as I stood looking at the couple about to get married which I ruined.Staring at the same man that came into my life like a wind blowing down everything in his way, Xander Brown furrowing his brows at me. His ocean blue eyes bright and clear, his brown hair settled on his face in a fine style only made me see my kids.Camera lights flashed on me with murmurs from each angle while Xander and I locked our eyes together in a staring contest or more like a glaring contest." What is going on here?" An elderly woman yelled on the top of her voice directly at Xander. " Who is she, Xander?"" I also want to know that. " The lady in her bridal outfit added snappishly.Rolling my eyes in exasperation, I groaned bored and tired. " Hey, I'm Jessie Cooper and I've kids for Xander Brown. "" What the fuck is she talking about?" The bride cried out, angrily sending me a deadly glares. " Why aren't you talking, Xander? Answer me. "With slow and precise steps, Xander walked to me towering my height with his. " What are you doing here?" His deep and hoarse British accent whispering in my ear sounds familiar. Is that where Jace gets his accent from or am I hearing things?" I'm not in support of this marriage. " I replied, folding my hands defiantly locking my eyes in his - big mistake, it only reminded me of that night of fun, flirting and pleasure. " Didn't I make it clear enough?"Without warning, he held my arm dragging me out of the church until we reached a black tainted SUV. Opening the passenger side, he literally carried me in and buckled my seatbelt before running over to the driver's side." What are you prattling about?" Xander inquired, turning on the engine of the car." Can you drive you any faster?" I sarcastically quipped, scrunching my face at him. This man was driving above the speed limit and I wanted to disappear." Hey, drop your sarcasms, I'm serious right now. " He bellowed, stepping on the accelerator speeding up. " Which kids are you talking about?"Although his voice was angry, beneath it was curiosity." Did I stutter?" I equally yelled at him, keeping an intense icy look on him. " Stop speeding, you are going to get us killed. "Glancing at him, he smirks then scoffed. " Do I look like I give a fuck? Start talking. "" After that night we had sex, I got pregnant and gave birth to a set of quintuplets. " I explained." Quintuplets?" His clueless voice echoed through the car. " What is that?"" Five. Quintuplets means five babies. " I explained again. " They are all boys and are four years old. "" I don't believe you. You are just lying, you want to get something from me and you won't get it. " Abruptly, he pulled over. " How is it possible you are just saying this now after four long years? Get out of my car right now. "I looked out of the window seeing nowhere I know. My head sharply turned to him. " What the heck are you talking about? I don't know anywhere here and what are you implying?"" I want you out of my car in ten seconds unfailingly. You don't want to know what I can do. " Xander Brown uttered, fixing his hard glare on me. Unbuckling the seatbelt without a word, I attempt to get off of his car. " Hey, a quick warning. Be careful, you are now famous, you wouldn't want to get mobbed on your way home. "" You're a big jerk. I've five kids waiting for you in my house, waiting for their father to arrive with their mom and you are talking about being mobbed. " Disbelief was obviously on my face. " I hope you have an accident and die, you British fool. "With that, I got out of his car making my way to wherever it leads me somewhere familiar hopefully. I wasn't with any money on me, I couldn't board a taxi.“ I'll be home late, please go stay with the kids. I went to stop Xander's wedding and I did but I'm stuck on the road. ” I hit send, sending the message to Kimberly. As I walked on the sidewalk, I felt a presence behind me but I let it slid. I felt the presence following me so I turned to see who was that but only blackness met my eyes before I was dragged into a vehicle.••Watching the unknown men pacing around the the confined room while tied up on an iron seat sending jolts of pain throughout my entire body. My head was aching. What's happening? Why am I here? Where am I?Sweeping though the room with my eyes, I noticed the room was unbelievably small with a window so high above human reach bringing the night light into the dimmed room." Ma'am is here. " One of the huge men informed the other men, entering the room after minutes passed.Ma'am? Who is ma'am? Who wants me kidnapped?" Finally. " Another one groans, throwing his head back.A lady my age made her presence known was her heels clinking on the floor, my eyes run from her heels to her face and a gasp escaped my mouth." Hey, stranger. " The bride at the wedding I stopped smiled at me, lowering her face to mine. " You made the biggest mistake of your life to soil my wedding, I worked so hard for that but you ruined it in just minutes, why? I don't even want to know. "" Please let me go, please I promise I didn't mean to, I...I..."" I...I..." She copies me then laughed, standing up upright. " You are so funny, Jessie. " Walking around the chair I was tied on. " Do you think God will find you funny?"What does she mean by that? She stopped in front of me again, lowering her head to me. " You're going to meet your maker, stranger. " Her smile fell to a smirk. " You're a nobody and you'll continue being a complete nobody. I've worked hard for all the years and I won't let a peasant spoil that. " Turning her back to me, she told the men. " When you have killed her, take care of her body. I have to home to meet my husband. "Take care of her body? What does she mean? Will they kill me?I watched her leave the room and panic and fear settled in me.Oh my God, am I going to die?Tutting a sound of disappointment and disapproval strolling to me, the big men who seemed like their leader went on his knees in front of me. " Isn't this terrible? You are so fucking beautiful and you'll go like that. Terrible, isn't it?"I wiggled on the chair trying to get out fruitlessly and he barked out an hysterical laughter, standing up and pointing a gun at me.The only thing on my mind as the gun unlocks pointed at me was my kids waiting for me to get back home with their father - I am not going home neither am I bringing their father. Their lives won't be the same without me, I'll miss them so much and they will miss me too.I want to see them for one last time but God wasn't on my side. Letting my eyes fall, I closed it tightly after hearing a gunshot waiting for the pain to set in but after seconds passed and I felt nothing, I opened my eyes only to see police officers pointing guns at the men, Xander and my kids rushing to my arms.I'm not dead, I didn't die. My kids are in my arms...well, I was still tied up so technically they were hugging me.Xander untied the ropes tying my hands together and I wrapped my arms around my kids pecking them on their heads. How is this even possible?Jessie's POVTo say I was shocked will be a major understatement; I was astounded to see my kids and Xander in one freaking place - in front of me. How did they get to see each other? Did Xander believe now that my kids are his? I mean, it is quite obvious, isn't it? The six of them look so alike - the aqua blue eyes and the brown brunette hair exactly the same. He doesn't need any more proof to tell him that the quintuplets are his. If the kids are here, where is Kimberly? She should also be here, right? Why will she just let the kids leave with Xander like that? " Get in. " His annoying voice forced my gaze moving to him, my annoyance visible on my face. Xander sigh, running his fingers through his disheveled hair. " Please. " We were standing beside his black SUV with the kids admiring the car while we shared an heated stare off. " You want me to enter your car?" The rhetorical question hanging in the air, he nodded. " Why? You threw me out of your car and now you want me ins
Jessie's POVHave you ever been to a prison cell? If no, then you are very lucky; this place reeks of weed, alcohol, urine and all sorts of things - my stomach was churning and turning urging me to puke my guts out. Why will I lock up here without interrogation? This wasn't the way to go about arresting people and locking them up. One and an half hour of being locked up here, I feel sick. I am greatly worried about Mrs Tiffany; why will her almost-to-be daughter-in-law poison her because she wants me out of the way? She is so kind and loveable, I hope she will he fine. " Someone is here to see you. " The rude policewoman snapped at me while opening the cell gate. Thank God, Xander is here, I'll tell him everything about that lady. Coming out of the cell, following wherever the woman was leading me, I saw no Xander but a strange man staring at me. Is he the one who wants to see me?" Hi. " He says, sending me a lazy smile. His voice was deep but not as Xander. Who is he? And li
Chapter 6Jessie's povI resisted the very urge to laugh out loud. Being dared to marry Xander wasn't just a dare but the most lamest one have ever heard. Of course, the whole five of them must be kidding. They must have planned on how to throw this joke on me but I must have them know it's the most hilarious one of its kinds."Come on kids, that was such a joke." When I finally had it in me to meet their very firm gazes, I chuckled softly as I stated. By now, I started feeling the hot burning of the glare Melanie was shooting occasionally behind my head."That was a dare mummy, I'm not so sure you have an option here. If there's anyone who does, that should be daddy." Jayden took a peek behind me at Melanie- obviously also been a witness to Melanie's furiousness- before ducking his head back at me and tilting his chin as he mumbled. My jaw slacked. Then just like that, the quintuplets turned towards Xander, simultaneously crossing their arms over their chests; obviously still holdin
Jessie's PovI wasn't sure. I wasn't so sure I can bottle up this anger any longer. She just fucking poured milk all over me and if not that I was trying to suppress my anger, I surely would have lunged at her. But then, my fists clenched tightly beside me as I reluctantly stayed put, keeping my cool."What the hell did you just do?" Meeting her eyes, I voiced. My voice wasn't that loud but the small tint of annoyance coursing through it was quite evident.I'm not going to lie, I really want to pay her back with her own coin but then that would cause a fight and considering the fact that Mrs Tiffany would have been starving real hard in there, I knew this moment wasn't the right time for it."What I just did?" She scoffee in disbelieve like she doesn't believe I was really asking her that question. Seeing my unfazed expression, she snorted, "Incase you don't know, I really hate your existence. If that isn't enough for a reason, trust me, with just one stand here, I can start listing o
Chapter 8Jessie's PovWhat?!I almost didn't believe I heard him right. He just banged in and whilst I was thinking I had got on his nerves, my jaw slacked when that was the only thing that came out of his mouth. The dare? He must be kidding. "What do you mean by that?" I cocked a brow at him and asked, jerking my arm out of his grip. "You sure as hell has an idea of the pros and cons of a dare, right? If there's anything I know, it's the fact that it must be fulfilled." Crossing his arms over his chest, he responded, his gaze on me unwavering.Wait, does he have the slightest idea of what he's spewing from his mouth? Or had he drunk himself to stupor and is currently here to ramble statements he couldn't have made while in his right state of mind?"Are you aware of what you're saying? If yes, then I must have you know have got nothing to do with this." As I spoke up, I leaned closer to his face before withdrawing up and giving him a tight-lipped smile."You were there when the kid
Jessie's PovI had thought I was having my way until the security guard slammed the gate closed, his gaze fixated behind my back. Already having the idea that it was none other than Xander, I didn't even bother looking. "Open the damned gate."I spoke in between grounded teeth, feeling as Jayden clutched tighter unto my arm. I must have thought the security guard would be fazed by my utterance but he wasn't. He maintained his spot, obviously having no choice."Mom, are we heading somewhere?" I heard Jaymes piped up and that was when I looked away from the guard and down at curious Jaymes. Before I could reply, Xander's footsteps as he stalked over cut me off from making any response."Come on, kids. Get back inside." Coming to a stop right before me, he instructed, his eyes not leaving mine.Instantly, the quintuplets made to scurry off when I half yelled, not only startling them to a stop but also scaring them off. "Get back here!"That was it. That was all I said but I was soon over
Jessie's Pov The day went by pretty fast. When it locks 8PM, I went to tuck the quintuplets into bed. I made sure to lock all the windows and left the side lamp on, knowing they wouldn't want to sleep in the dark. It's their first time innm here and they might get scared."Mom, you can put off the light." Jaxon purred just as I was about stepping out of the room. "Are you guys sure?" Twirling around to meet their eyes, I asked and there was no hesitation before they bobbed their heads up and down. Great, and here I was thinking sleepping in here while the light is off will set them off.Doing as per their request, I turned off the light before climbing up their big bed."Goodnight sweeties. As you sleep tight, have sweet dreams about momma. Okay?" I flipped my eyes over each one of them, my face beholding a big smile."And papa too." Jake buttressed, causing the smile on my face to practically drop unto the ground. And of course, I found myself nodding my head positively at them. I
Jessie's PovWith eyes closed, I await my death. Which never came as even before I knew it, a hand shoot out all a sudden and wrapped around my waist. I gasped, taken aback when the certain figure jerked me closer into his chest.Titling my head up, I was met with a pair of eyes gazing right down at me. "Damn it!" I heard Melanie cuss right by the stairs but I was too lost in Xander's eyes to cast a glance. All I knew was the fact that she stomped off right after, her heels giving away the clue.Realizing our bodies is etched closer to each other; leaving no space, I snapped into complete awareness before backing away from his touch."Who gave you the permission to touch me?" I asked him, keeping a poker face. He creased his forehead with his palm before letting out a sigh of distress, as though he wants to be anywhere but here."Had I not caught and held you in place, you would have fell unto the floor and break your bones." He responded and even I knew he was right, I crossed my ar

Third Person's povThe hospital room was filled with police officers, all asking questions and taking notes. Scott stood in the corner, his heart racing. He had called them as soon as they had gotten to the hospital, hoping they would be able to help. But now, he wasn't sure if he had made the right decision. What if they couldn't find the person responsible? What if they couldn't make Jessie better? He felt like the world was crashing down around him, and he didn't know how to make it stop.As the police filed out of the room, one of the officers turned to Scott. "We'll be in touch," he said, his voice solemn. "We'll do everything we can to find out what happened and who's responsible." Scott nodded, trying to quell the panic that was rising within him. He knew he had to stay strong for the kids, but it was so hard. Third person's pov"But I'm glad you did it." She paused, looking at him carefully. "And I agree, I'd love to be your girlfriend." Fred couldn't believe it. He had only just met this woman, and yet he already felt a connection like no other. He felt as if he had known her forever, and he knew that this was the start of something special.Melanie stared at Sarah in disbelief. "Are you serious?" she asked, her voice trembling. "I can't believe you would even suggest such a thing. That's...that's crazy!" Sarah's face hardened, and her voice was icy. "Oh, so it's crazy to want to get rid of that gold digger who's stealing your boyfriend away from you?" Melanie felt like she had been punched in the gut. She had never imagined that Sarah would feel this way about her. She shook her head, her mind reeling. "You're wrong, Sarah," she said, her voice breaking."I know you're upset," Sarah said, her voice softening. "But I just want what's best for you. You deserve better than this. You des

"You've done something truly amazing."In the weeks that followed, Fred and Xander began to rebuild their relationship. Third person's povAs Jessie was getting ready, Xander knocked on the bedroom door. "I've got your car ready," he said, his tone upbeat. "My driver will take you to the party, since you said Melanie didn't want me there." Jessie felt grateful for Xander's understanding. "Thank you," she said, giving him a quick hug. "I know this is a little outside your comfort zone, so I appreciate you being so supportive." Xander gave her a smile. "It's no problem," he said, his voice full of reassurance. "Have fun tonight!"Jessie stepped out of the car and made her way to the front door of the mansion where the party was being held. As she rang the doorbell, she felt her heart pounding in her chest. The door opened, and there stood Melanie and Sarah, both of them smiling brightly. "Jessie!" Melanie exclaimed, her voice dripping with insincerity. "We're so glad you could make it!" Sarah gave Jessie a hug, and then they both ushered her inside. But as they did, Jessie couldn't help but feel a
Third Person's pov "Jessie, we need to talk about this," Xander said, his voice calm but firm. "Your jealousy is getting out of hand. You can't keep throwing things at people just because you're feeling insecure." Jessie's eyes widened as she suddenly remembered the food she had been cooking. "Oh no!" she exclaimed, running to the kitchen. Sure enough, smoke was billowing from the stovetop, and the pot of pasta was starting to burn. The maids hurried into the kitchen, ready to put out the fire. But when they saw Jessie standing there, they froze. They had heard the yelling and seen the pillow fly across the room, and they were afraid of getting caught in the middle of whatever was going on. "Um, we can take care of this," one of the maids said, her voice trembling. "You don't need to worry about it." But Jessie simply waved them away. "It's fine," she said, her voice shaky. "I've got it under control."As Jessie reached for the pot, her fingers brushed against the hot metal and
Third person pov The next day, Jessie's phone rang, and she saw that it was Melanie calling. "What does she want?" she thought, feeling a mixture of annoyance and curiosity. She let the call go to voicemail, not wanting to talk to Melanie right away. A few minutes later, she received a text from Melanie asking to meet for coffee. Jessie hesitated, unsure of what to do. On the one hand, she didn't want to see Melanie, but on the other hand, she was curious about what she wanted to talk about.Jessie took a deep breath and answered the call. "What's up, Melanie?" she asked, trying to sound casual. "I really need to talk to you," Melanie said, her voice desperate. "It's important. Can we meet for coffee?" Jessie reluctantly agreed, and they set a time and place to meet. As she hung up the phone, she couldn't help but feel uneasy. Melanie's desperation was unsettling, and she had a bad feeling about what she might have to say.Meanwhile, Melanie met up with her friend, Sarah, who was
