Jessie's POV
Four years later**Brushing my hair while looking at my boys exchanging words in hush whisper, I smiled contentedly.Slowly, my life was going back on track - I like to describe it like that although I have debts weighting on me, life was okay. My boys were here with hale and hearty - they were happy and I was happy seeing them happy. I would literally do anything for my boys to see their smiling faces." Are you ready?" Dropping the brush on the table, I asked narrowing my eyes at them. They stopped talking and faced me." Yes, mummy. " Jayden; the eldest one chimes, hopping on his little feet. " We were ready since, we were waiting for you. "" Oh really?" I jest, nodding my head understandingly staring at my children nodding her heads at me. " Well, off we go. I don't want you running late to school. "They are my children but nothing gave it away - they look nothing like me. Instead of my chocolate brown eyes, they had ocean blue eyes and instead of black straight hair, they had brown curly hair fixed on their head looking exactly like their father - like Xander Brown.Four years ago, I let him ruin my life but it turned out good; if he didn't, I wouldn't have Jayden, Jaymes, Jaxon, Jace and Jake - they are my life, I live for them. Four years ago, I would have given up but I can't now, I'm strong now.Kimberly yawns, covering her mouth with her mouth coming out of my room. " Good morning, what is the time?"I moved out of the house we both shared one month before the birth of the quintuplets - I didn't want to burden Kim, the house will be jam-packed and it won't be fair on her. With my little paychecks I gathered, I rented a house; a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom was all I needed to have a home for my boys.I opened my mouth to answer her but Jace beat me to it, replying in his British accent he picked up from his classmates. " The clock is right there. "Just four years of age, he was sassy like me and to be completely honest, I liked it." I won't get chocolate for you the next time I come visiting. " My sister returned childishly sticking her tongue at him.Yes, Kimberly visited us yesterday since it was a Sunday. We normally hang out together on Saturdays or Sundays and the boys adores her." He was just informing you. " Jake muttered loudly, supporting his brother. " Mummy, let's go. "He was the supportive one always backing up his brothers whether or not they are right. They might not look like me but at least they have a little bit of my behavior - I'm not saying I support wrong things, don't get me wrong.Kimberly dramatically gasps, palming her mouth in exaggerated surprise. " I thought you were on my team. I'm deeply hurt. " Pouting her lips sadly, she shakes her head folding her hands before looking at Jayden who was checking his books out. " You are on my team right? You too, Jaxon and Jaymes?"" Nope. " They unisonally chorused, shaking their head and that did it - I bursted out laughing without control. My life is better than before." Okay. " My voice marked finality, drawing all their attention to me. " Let's go, you'll miss the bus. "Synchronically, they threw their backpack over their shoulder before saying with their hands waving to my sister. " Bye Aunt Kim. "" I'll call you. " Side hugging Kimberly, I took my sling bag and led them out of the door not before taking the spare key.••Putting my bag down, I went on doing my job like I always do robotically. My boss was a good person and I wanted nothing but to do the right thing - so many times, I have borrowed money from her and I still haven't paid back; I used to money for the upkeep of the kids and myself, I'll pay back when I save enough. The sudden vibration of my phone in my apron made me jump with fright, I brought it out seeing my boss's name on the screen.Seeing the message “Come to my office” literally made me heart stop for a second.Questions like, why does she calling me to her office? What did I do? What's happening? Went running a marathon in my head and I could only do one thing - go and see what the matter was.Walking the short distance to her office, I knocked on the closed door waiting to her voice before entering." Enter. " Her voice tight and firm not making me feel any better. With slow and cautious steps, I stepped on the threshold of her office with a deep sigh. " You wanted to see me?"" Yes, come on in. " She says, signalling for me to come over while she sat on her seat. " Shut the door. "I did and stride to her. " Yes, did you want anything?"" Yes. " Was her simple reply.Phew, I thought I did something wrong." What do you want? I will get it. "Her stare pierced my soul. " I'm sorry, Jessie but you need to go. You have bills to pay and I can't continue doing this. Don't bother to beg, I won't listen. I've tried for you and you know that. "And just like that, my world came tumbling down. My whole body froze, loosing the ability to do their work - my heart stop beating, my eyes stopped blinking, my hands and legs frozen in one fixed spot.Slowly, it came alive and I nodded my head. " I'll pay you your money but please don't fire me. I need this job, how will I take care of my boys?"" Maybe next time you will consider that before opening your legs to someone you aren't married to. " She snapped, springing up on her feet. " Get out!"With one last look at her, I turned my back to her leaving with the little dignity and pride left in me.~~" Mummy, do you want to hear what happened in my school today?" Jaymes's enthusiastic voice rings in my ears temporarily stopping my eyes from going black. " Tim was walking and saw a..."It hasn't been long they came back from school and they had stories to tell me as usual but I wasn't in the right frame of mind to listen to them.My head was spiralling in circles, fogging my brain with thoughts on how to go on with life. I didn't only get fired but also found out that Xander Brown is back to New York and is getting married this evening.Their laughter warmed and broke my heart because they just said something funny and I wasn't paying attention to them." Please get me some water, Jaxon. " I say, feeling my head entering a dark hole. But before he could get back and bring the water my vision blurs and I fell to the floor with nothing but blackness surrounding me." Mummy, you scared us. What happened to you?" I was still recovering from the fainting and the water dripping on me as those questions were thrown at me. " Have you eaten?"" I'm fine. " I lied through my teeth. " Mummy is just tired. "" Tim said that whenever his mummy is tired, his dad buys food for her. " Jayden muttered. " Where is our daddy? You said he is coming back soon. Let him come and get food for you. "Should I say, your father is getting ready to get married?" Yes, I want my daddy. Everyone in my class has a daddy except me. I want my daddy, mummy?" Jake supported. We all want things in life but can't get it - I want to give them everything they need to have a normal life but can't." Mummy, why aren't you talking? Where's daddy? Take us to daddy now, I want to see my daddy now. " Jaxon snapped.Okay, that's it. I can't take all this questions anymore. I haven't endured it for four years but not anymore." You want to see your daddy?" I inquired, getting off of the floor with my wet clothes sticking on my body. " I'll bring your daddy to you right now. "" Are you lying to us, mummy?" They chorused, looking up at me. Their blue eyes attacking me." No, babies. I'll bring your dad to you, just you wait. "~~Stomping into the church the wedding is held, it was jam-packed with people - the people invited and medias people so I easily blended with the crowd." If there's anyone here against the joining of this two individuals in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace. " The poor priest's voice was loud enough due to the microphone aiding him." I object. " My voice came out louder than I expected gaining everyone's attention. When I said I would do anything for my boys, I meant it.Jessie's POVAll eyes were on me as I stood looking at the couple about to get married which I ruined. Staring at the same man that came into my life like a wind blowing down everything in his way, Xander Brown furrowing his brows at me. His ocean blue eyes bright and clear, his brown hair settled on his face in a fine style only made me see my kids. Camera lights flashed on me with murmurs from each angle while Xander and I locked our eyes together in a staring contest or more like a glaring contest. " What is going on here?" An elderly woman yelled on the top of her voice directly at Xander. " Who is she, Xander?" " I also want to know that. " The lady in her bridal outfit added snappishly. Rolling my eyes in exasperation, I groaned bored and tired. " Hey, I'm Jessie Cooper and I've kids for Xander Brown. " " What the fuck is she talking about?" The bride cried out, angrily sending me a deadly glares. " Why aren't you talking, Xander? Answer me. " With slow and precise steps,
Jessie's POVTo say I was shocked will be a major understatement; I was astounded to see my kids and Xander in one freaking place - in front of me. How did they get to see each other? Did Xander believe now that my kids are his? I mean, it is quite obvious, isn't it? The six of them look so alike - the aqua blue eyes and the brown brunette hair exactly the same. He doesn't need any more proof to tell him that the quintuplets are his. If the kids are here, where is Kimberly? She should also be here, right? Why will she just let the kids leave with Xander like that? " Get in. " His annoying voice forced my gaze moving to him, my annoyance visible on my face. Xander sigh, running his fingers through his disheveled hair. " Please. " We were standing beside his black SUV with the kids admiring the car while we shared an heated stare off. " You want me to enter your car?" The rhetorical question hanging in the air, he nodded. " Why? You threw me out of your car and now you want me ins
Jessie's POVHave you ever been to a prison cell? If no, then you are very lucky; this place reeks of weed, alcohol, urine and all sorts of things - my stomach was churning and turning urging me to puke my guts out. Why will I lock up here without interrogation? This wasn't the way to go about arresting people and locking them up. One and an half hour of being locked up here, I feel sick. I am greatly worried about Mrs Tiffany; why will her almost-to-be daughter-in-law poison her because she wants me out of the way? She is so kind and loveable, I hope she will he fine. " Someone is here to see you. " The rude policewoman snapped at me while opening the cell gate. Thank God, Xander is here, I'll tell him everything about that lady. Coming out of the cell, following wherever the woman was leading me, I saw no Xander but a strange man staring at me. Is he the one who wants to see me?" Hi. " He says, sending me a lazy smile. His voice was deep but not as Xander. Who is he? And li
Chapter 6Jessie's povI resisted the very urge to laugh out loud. Being dared to marry Xander wasn't just a dare but the most lamest one have ever heard. Of course, the whole five of them must be kidding. They must have planned on how to throw this joke on me but I must have them know it's the most hilarious one of its kinds."Come on kids, that was such a joke." When I finally had it in me to meet their very firm gazes, I chuckled softly as I stated. By now, I started feeling the hot burning of the glare Melanie was shooting occasionally behind my head."That was a dare mummy, I'm not so sure you have an option here. If there's anyone who does, that should be daddy." Jayden took a peek behind me at Melanie- obviously also been a witness to Melanie's furiousness- before ducking his head back at me and tilting his chin as he mumbled. My jaw slacked. Then just like that, the quintuplets turned towards Xander, simultaneously crossing their arms over their chests; obviously still holdin
Jessie's PovI wasn't sure. I wasn't so sure I can bottle up this anger any longer. She just fucking poured milk all over me and if not that I was trying to suppress my anger, I surely would have lunged at her. But then, my fists clenched tightly beside me as I reluctantly stayed put, keeping my cool."What the hell did you just do?" Meeting her eyes, I voiced. My voice wasn't that loud but the small tint of annoyance coursing through it was quite evident.I'm not going to lie, I really want to pay her back with her own coin but then that would cause a fight and considering the fact that Mrs Tiffany would have been starving real hard in there, I knew this moment wasn't the right time for it."What I just did?" She scoffee in disbelieve like she doesn't believe I was really asking her that question. Seeing my unfazed expression, she snorted, "Incase you don't know, I really hate your existence. If that isn't enough for a reason, trust me, with just one stand here, I can start listing o
Chapter 8Jessie's PovWhat?!I almost didn't believe I heard him right. He just banged in and whilst I was thinking I had got on his nerves, my jaw slacked when that was the only thing that came out of his mouth. The dare? He must be kidding. "What do you mean by that?" I cocked a brow at him and asked, jerking my arm out of his grip. "You sure as hell has an idea of the pros and cons of a dare, right? If there's anything I know, it's the fact that it must be fulfilled." Crossing his arms over his chest, he responded, his gaze on me unwavering.Wait, does he have the slightest idea of what he's spewing from his mouth? Or had he drunk himself to stupor and is currently here to ramble statements he couldn't have made while in his right state of mind?"Are you aware of what you're saying? If yes, then I must have you know have got nothing to do with this." As I spoke up, I leaned closer to his face before withdrawing up and giving him a tight-lipped smile."You were there when the kid
Jessie's PovI had thought I was having my way until the security guard slammed the gate closed, his gaze fixated behind my back. Already having the idea that it was none other than Xander, I didn't even bother looking. "Open the damned gate."I spoke in between grounded teeth, feeling as Jayden clutched tighter unto my arm. I must have thought the security guard would be fazed by my utterance but he wasn't. He maintained his spot, obviously having no choice."Mom, are we heading somewhere?" I heard Jaymes piped up and that was when I looked away from the guard and down at curious Jaymes. Before I could reply, Xander's footsteps as he stalked over cut me off from making any response."Come on, kids. Get back inside." Coming to a stop right before me, he instructed, his eyes not leaving mine.Instantly, the quintuplets made to scurry off when I half yelled, not only startling them to a stop but also scaring them off. "Get back here!"That was it. That was all I said but I was soon over
Jessie's Pov The day went by pretty fast. When it locks 8PM, I went to tuck the quintuplets into bed. I made sure to lock all the windows and left the side lamp on, knowing they wouldn't want to sleep in the dark. It's their first time innm here and they might get scared."Mom, you can put off the light." Jaxon purred just as I was about stepping out of the room. "Are you guys sure?" Twirling around to meet their eyes, I asked and there was no hesitation before they bobbed their heads up and down. Great, and here I was thinking sleepping in here while the light is off will set them off.Doing as per their request, I turned off the light before climbing up their big bed."Goodnight sweeties. As you sleep tight, have sweet dreams about momma. Okay?" I flipped my eyes over each one of them, my face beholding a big smile."And papa too." Jake buttressed, causing the smile on my face to practically drop unto the ground. And of course, I found myself nodding my head positively at them. I

Third Person's povTwo weeks later, the day of the wedding had finally arrived. Jessie stood in front of the mirror, dressed in a stunning white gown, her hair and makeup done to perfection. She looked radiant, like a princess out of a fairy tale. Outside, the guests were already gathered, and Xander was waiting at the altar, his eyes shining with happiness. As the music began, Jessie took a deep breath and started down the aisle. It was the moment she had been waiting for her entire life.As Jessie and Xander exchanged their vows, the words felt like a promise of a lifetime of happiness. They pledged their love and devotion to each other, their voices filled with emotion. When it came time for the kiss, they gazed into each other's eyes, and then their lips met. Third Person's povThe hospital room was filled with police officers, all asking questions and taking notes. Scott stood in the corner, his heart racing. He had called them as soon as they had gotten to the hospital, hoping they would be able to help. But now, he wasn't sure if he had made the right decision. What if they couldn't find the person responsible? What if they couldn't make Jessie better? He felt like the world was crashing down around him, and he didn't know how to make it stop.As the police filed out of the room, one of the officers turned to Scott. "We'll be in touch," he said, his voice solemn. "We'll do everything we can to find out what happened and who's responsible." Scott nodded, trying to quell the panic that was rising within him. He knew he had to stay strong for the kids, but it was so hard. He felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders, and he didn't know if he could carry it any longer. As the police questioned Melanie and Sarah, the girls were
Third person's pov"But I'm glad you did it." She paused, looking at him carefully. "And I agree, I'd love to be your girlfriend." Fred couldn't believe it. He had only just met this woman, and yet he already felt a connection like no other. He felt as if he had known her forever, and he knew that this was the start of something special.Melanie stared at Sarah in disbelief. "Are you serious?" she asked, her voice trembling. "I can't believe you would even suggest such a thing. That's...that's crazy!" Sarah's face hardened, and her voice was icy. "Oh, so it's crazy to want to get rid of that gold digger who's stealing your boyfriend away from you?" Melanie felt like she had been punched in the gut. She had never imagined that Sarah would feel this way about her. She shook her head, her mind reeling. "You're wrong, Sarah," she said, her voice breaking."I know you're upset," Sarah said, her voice softening. "But I just want what's best for you. You deserve better than this. You des
Third person's pov When Xander got home, he found Jessie waiting for him, her eyes wide with worry. "What happened?" she asked, her voice full of concern. Xander took a deep breath, and then he told her everything. He told her about his conversation with Fred, and about the changes he had seen in his brother. When he finished, Jessie's eyes were shining with tears. "I'm so proud of you," she said, reaching out to take his hand. "You've done something truly amazing."In the weeks that followed, Fred and Xander began to rebuild their relationship. It wasn't easy, and there were times when the old anger and resentment would bubble to the surface. But they worked through it, and slowly but surely, they found a new understanding. For the first time, they saw each other as brothers, not as rivals. And as time went on, they began to rebuild their lives. It was a long and difficult process, but they never gave up. They knew that they were stronger together than they ever could be apart.T
Third person's povIt was a dark and stormy night when the gang met at their usual hideout. They gathered around the table, each of them eager to make their mark on the world. "We need to pull off the perfect heist," Fred said, his voice full of determination. "We need to rob someone who's rich and powerful. Someone who won't be able to fight back." The others nodded, their eyes glittering with excitement. But little did they know, their plan was about to go horribly wrong. The gang had their sights set on the fourth richest billionaire in New York, a man who had made his fortune in real estate. They studied his security, looking for any weaknesses. But as they were plotting their heist, they didn't realize that their plan was about to fall apart. Unknown to them, their scheme had been uncovered, and the FBI was on their trail. The net was closing in, and it was only a matter of time before they were caught.Fred sprinted down the street, his heart pounding in his chest. He turned d
Third person's povAs Jessie was getting ready, Xander knocked on the bedroom door. "I've got your car ready," he said, his tone upbeat. "My driver will take you to the party, since you said Melanie didn't want me there." Jessie felt grateful for Xander's understanding. "Thank you," she said, giving him a quick hug. "I know this is a little outside your comfort zone, so I appreciate you being so supportive." Xander gave her a smile. "It's no problem," he said, his voice full of reassurance. "Have fun tonight!"Jessie stepped out of the car and made her way to the front door of the mansion where the party was being held. As she rang the doorbell, she felt her heart pounding in her chest. The door opened, and there stood Melanie and Sarah, both of them smiling brightly. "Jessie!" Melanie exclaimed, her voice dripping with insincerity. "We're so glad you could make it!" Sarah gave Jessie a hug, and then they both ushered her inside. But as they did, Jessie couldn't help but feel a
Third Person's pov "Jessie, we need to talk about this," Xander said, his voice calm but firm. "Your jealousy is getting out of hand. You can't keep throwing things at people just because you're feeling insecure." Jessie's eyes widened as she suddenly remembered the food she had been cooking. "Oh no!" she exclaimed, running to the kitchen. Sure enough, smoke was billowing from the stovetop, and the pot of pasta was starting to burn. The maids hurried into the kitchen, ready to put out the fire. But when they saw Jessie standing there, they froze. They had heard the yelling and seen the pillow fly across the room, and they were afraid of getting caught in the middle of whatever was going on. "Um, we can take care of this," one of the maids said, her voice trembling. "You don't need to worry about it." But Jessie simply waved them away. "It's fine," she said, her voice shaky. "I've got it under control."As Jessie reached for the pot, her fingers brushed against the hot metal and
Third person pov The next day, Jessie's phone rang, and she saw that it was Melanie calling. "What does she want?" she thought, feeling a mixture of annoyance and curiosity. She let the call go to voicemail, not wanting to talk to Melanie right away. A few minutes later, she received a text from Melanie asking to meet for coffee. Jessie hesitated, unsure of what to do. On the one hand, she didn't want to see Melanie, but on the other hand, she was curious about what she wanted to talk about.Jessie took a deep breath and answered the call. "What's up, Melanie?" she asked, trying to sound casual. "I really need to talk to you," Melanie said, her voice desperate. "It's important. Can we meet for coffee?" Jessie reluctantly agreed, and they set a time and place to meet. As she hung up the phone, she couldn't help but feel uneasy. Melanie's desperation was unsettling, and she had a bad feeling about what she might have to say.Meanwhile, Melanie met up with her friend, Sarah, who was
