The moment she walked in, my heart stopped working. I couldn't believe 5 years could do so much to someone.

The last time I saw her she was the nerdy little girl who could barely walk around without tripping over something.

This time around she walked elegantly into the room.

It wasn't just me that noticed it, it was everyone else.

Blu was taller now, much more elegant and she held this invincible aura around her that I'm certain she didn't notice.

But I did,I noticed everything about her from the very first day I've met her till today.

And now I was nervous because I don't know this not the Blu I know.

She was staring at me, it was not until she called my name that I knew she was right in front of me.

"Blu", I mumbled.

I begged my legs to move but they refused to, I begged my mouth to open and say something, anything but it refused to.

There was this odd thick silence that I was causing, just because my body refused to respond because she was standing right in front of me.

And for the first time, Blu looked away.

Normally, when that happens she'll either pout or mumble something about me not liking her.

But this time around she looked away from me.

"We didn't expect you to come so early from the funeral", Alex said breaking the intense silence.

"I couldn't stay, those people give me the look like I wanted him dead", she said.

"Why didn't you guys just show up at the funeral instead of coming here", she asked.

"Well apparently London's time is quite different from here and so we thought somehow that we were already late and so we decided to just come here first, then well we found out that we were early and so we were actually talking about coming there but then you showed up and -"

"Gosh Jeremy ", Tobi stopped him immediately from going any further because he was talking too much.

"Well in all I'm happy you guys are here honestly, I feel a lot better than I was earlier, it means a lot for me ", she said.

"We wouldn't miss it for the world ", Alex said stroking her cheeks.

"Well they'll be wrapping up the funeral soon, I don't know how long you plan on staying but I'll tell Jessie to get you a hotel or one of the houses at-"

*Won't be necessary", my voice finally found it's way to my throat .

She looked at me, emotionlessly.

"Why not?", she asked.

"Because we will be relocating from London to stay here fully, we already got the housing taken care of", I explained.

She turned to Alex who was still holding her, believe me I am furious, if he wasn't my brother I would have chopped his hands off.

"You guys are moving to Italy? why?".

Alex turned to me,"It was your father's last wish ", he said.

"How?".

"The night, he died, he asked that I personally take care of you, all of us actually but specifically me, he made me swear I'll never let you out of my sight, and to protect you ", I said.

She scoffed, "That's really sweet of you Damon but I'm not 13 anymore, I don't need a baby sitter, I'm fine on my own ".

"That was not a request Blu "

She turned to me, "Damon, I've lived on my own now for 5 years and I've handled myself quite well, I get you're trying to be sweet but I don't need all of you in my space geez I can barely even breath.

It's nice of you to help honestly but he's dead now and I'm fine ", she said and turned away to walk out.

"He gave me a list Blu", I started, she stopped.

"List of people that were somehow involved in his death, and they will come after you, their mission is to wipe you out completely, you're the last surviving blood of your family, you'll be dead if we leave you alone, and I'm not doing that no matter how much you try to oppose, I'm going to be by your side from now on", I said.

She turned around and looked at me dead in the eyes, "And where were you all this while? when I really needed you?"

I didn't know what to say, I was speechless.

"Blu are you okay? this is really not normal you", Tobi asked.

"I just don't want you all around me everytime, geez", she said.

"That's unusual of you, I mean you always want to be around us, especially Damon", Jerry said.

"Well maybe I don't want to, especially Damon", she said and walked up the stairs to her room.

Jessica sighed, "I think it's his death that's affecting her, she's been like this all week, she just wants to be alone give her space ", Jessica said and walked out of the house..

Alex sighed and turned to walk upstairs, I stopped him.

"Tf are you going?",I asked already pissed that she's being friendly with him and not me

"Uhm, to see her ", he said.

"Dude leave her alone ", I said.

"Why?"

"Because she said she wants to be", i said.

"No dudee, she said she doesn't want to be around you, that's different ", he stated.

"Why the fuck are you guys being such pussies and arguing?", Tobi asked.

"And dude why are you being so fucken protective of her all of the sudden? because her dad died now you want to play big brother role? ", Alex asked.

"That's not it", I defended.

"Then what is exactly because you never gave a fuck about Blu, more like you hated her, so where did all this love come from?", he asked.

I swallowed, "Her dad died in my arms Alex, you would never understand that feeling, especially when his last words was for me to protect her, and that's exactly what I'm going to do ", I said coldly.
