Chapter 37.1 - Dominic De Lefko

The black sedan continued to drive through the Silver Forest, past the many pine trees whose leaves occasionally hit the car body. Leaning her head against the window pane, Pine noticed the appearance of the pine trees moving backward due to the fast speed of the car.

Her eyes were indeed focused on the passing scene but Pine's mind was somewhere else. During the trip, Kevin told everything that happened, without missing a single story.

Stories that left Pine speechless. Everything these vampires talked about sounded very strange. Even understanding one thing in its entirety made Pine feel dizzy.

"I know this is too complicated," Kevin said as he focused on driving the car. "But I hope you can understand."

Kevin then grabbed Pine's hand and held it. "You or that woman. You are just victims. I'm sorry. It shouldn't have ended like this."

Pine gripped Kevin's hand tightly and said without turning her head, "Don't say anything more. I don't want to hear any more frustrated words from you
