Chapter 39.1 - Kevin's Story

With a straight face that was being swept by the powder, Pine kept remembering every word Kevin said as the two of them were on their way to Raltz. At that time she was told to sleep, but she preferred to listen to Kevin's story about the woman in the underground. Pine also replayed the memory of the conversation.

"When I turned eleven, I went back there. This time I only went with the King. Rena was still having business in the kingdom, so she had to stay."

"That night, again, after finishing my meal, I headed to the basement. I looked back at the woman in silence. Strangely, I didn't dare touch her."

“It was the same before, my hand shook violently when I touched it. The woman's body seemed to give off air to protect itself."

"That woman, she is like a flower. Lots of butterflies are flying around her and some are on her. She also has a strong smell of Lily of the Valley, and you have that strong smell too, Pine. That's why I'm attracted to you."

"I only saw the woman briefly. Then
