Chapter 36.2 - I Must Save Her

Rai turned his body, staring at the expanse of trees that surrounded his castle. "I know or maybe I don't know... Therefore, I must protect you."

Pine refused, "No. I don't want to involve anyone anymore. This is my problem and I'll sort it out myself."

"Are you stupid?" Rai mocked. "You realize that you are human. That one fact and all your questions answered," he turned and looked at Pine, "You've lost," he provoked and left.

Pine tightly gripped the blanket that covered half of her body. What Rai said was true, and it was a fact. An undeniable fact… Pine was a human, and this alone was an absolute defeat for her.

"But still... I have to get out of here. Releasing a human is certainly not an easy thing for a vampire. But I have to go. Win or lose at least I have to try," she said, making Rai stop in his steps.

"You didn't help her. I see it. You're not trying to save the woman you call Dion."
