Tears flowed down her face at the memory she had for the past two months, but very soon, she was able to anchor herself and regained her composure. She hurried to the bathroom and stared at her reflection on the mirror. It took four hours with an ice pack on her cheek to finally reduce the swelling, but her face was still marked by the bruise that had ruined her beauty. Sabrina forced a bitter smile before putting the facemask back on. She wandered off to her bedroom to retrieve the box filled with jewels that Sebastian had bought for her as a gift. Within it, was a pair of bracelets she received from old Mrs. Ford.

The bracelets reminded Sabrina of the day she visited the Ford Residence. When the old Mrs. Ford told her, "I was going to give this pair of bracelets to your mother-in-law. It's a pity she died at such an early age without getting a chance to wear them."
