"Jeez..." Breathing a heave, Zander descended the stairs of the school building and rushed across the garden.
He stopped at the closed gate and maniacally began looking here and there. His eyes were wide open, hands fisted and face flushed with shock and disappointment as he frantically roamed his pupils in the empty big garden.
"I swear had smelled her here. Where would she go so quickly?" He spoke to himself such that the watchman sitting in his cabinet peeked out of the big rectangular window in daze.
He was not petrified to see Zander but a bit taken aback. The rapid batting of his lashes conveyed there was another story to his expressions, and earlier than Zander saw him, he went back to his work without interfering in the bully's life.
