Leo

I ignore him and get in my car, driving as fast as I can to the airport. When I find Willow, I easily eavesdrop on her conversation at the check-in counter. Then, I find out that her flight would be leaving in two hours.

I book a first-class ticket with a different airline that would be leaving in two hours as well, and I groan as I think about the amount of time I will be spending at the airport, I almost contemplate taking a private jet and asking her to join me.

I depend on her distinct scent to guide me when we arrive in Minnesota. The moment she gets in a cab, I rush to another cab.

“Follow that cab,” I say to the first cab driver I come across.

“Dude, are you a stalker?”

I take five hundred dollars and hand it to the driver without saying a word.

“Let’s go!” The cab driver grins.

‘Why are we following her again?’ Asclepius asks, a little bored.

‘To convince her that Liam wants to kill her. If she stays away from him, he won’t get a chance to be near her to reject her.’

I watch Willow disappear through the doors, and I follow at a safe distance.

“Mom,” she paces to a woman who I suppose is her mother, and they embrace.

“I’m a terrible mother,” she cries.

“No, Mom, you will never be a terrible mom, and Marcel is going to be okay. Go home to freshen up and let me stay here.”

“Are you sure?” Her mother asks, her voice breaking.

“Yes, just go and take a nap. Okay?” she says gently, as if talking to a child.

“Okay, I hope I’ll be here when he wakes up.”

“You will be.” Willow offers a reassuring smile.

The woman gives her a faint smile, and then they hug before she leaves.

Willow sits on the chair in the waiting room, anxiously tapping her foot. She looks too anxious, I fight the urge to hug her.

She gets up when she sees the doctor, his face unreadable.

The doctor gives her a look that I know too well as he speaks in a low voice, and a scream that could probably be heard throughout the entire hospital assaults my ears.

A nurse walks towards her, and I watch her, sobbing and looking helpless in the nurse’s arms. Her cries pierce through my heart, bringing back unwanted memories, and suddenly, I feel protective of her.

I reluctantly walk to them, and I ask to hold her. The nurse allows me, probably thinking that we are close, and luckily, Willow doesn’t look to see who is hugging her.

“You are going to be okay.” I keep whispering when the screams have turned into sniffling.

“Willow?” A 5”8 blonde woman walks towards us. Her confidence unmasked. I feel a strange pull toward her, the one I’ve felt when I met my mates before, but I can’t tell if she is my mate or not.

‘I hope this isn’t my mate.’

‘How are you going to know when you keep making my senses weak with this masking potion of yours?’ My wolf snarls.

The stranger shamelessly checks me out, a small smirk playing on her lips.

“Willow?” The stranger looks at my arms, which are wrapped around her.

I let go of Willow, who obviously seems confused that I’m in Minnesota with her, but she doesn’t say a word.

“What happened?” The stranger asks.

“Limbicus overdose,” she wipes fresh tears with the back of her hand.

“What’s limbicus?” I regret asking the moment the words leave my mouth. I was okay with being invisible, and I just had to remind them I was there.

“What do you want, Doctor Brown?” Willow glares at me.

“Who is he?” Chloe whispers.

“He used to be a professor, but now says he is a psychic or something,” she says dismissively. “Seriously, Chloe?” Willow says impatiently. “You want to flirt with Professor Coldheart at a time like this?” Willow purses her lips, and they glower at each other.

I silently walk away, wanting to slip out of the scene as quietly as possible.

“Where are you going, Professor? Why are you here?” Willow asks, eying me suspiciously.

“Uhm...” I trail off. My phone rings, and although the caller ID makes me frown, I sigh with relief. “Excuse me,” I say to them as I instantly walk away.

“I heard Willow’s brother died after a limbicus overdose,” Liam's cheerful voice says on the other end of the line.

“And why are you calling me instead of her?”

“Because this is your fault. After doing some research, I recently found out that Limbicus is a drug of your creation. Imagine the rage Willow is going to feel when she finds out. Boy, we are going to destroy you.” He chuckles before hanging up.

Dominic ‘You hate me that much?’ Apollo asks, a little sad and not angry like he usually is. ‘You will be spending eternity without Esther. You let her go. Again.’ ‘Thanks for rubbing it in,’ I say dryly. He responds with a growl. ‘What do you want me to do, Apollo?’ ‘You can kill everyone in the world for all I care. All I want is my mate!’ he grumbles.Aiden knocks once and opens the door to my study. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my study and avoiding my bed, where Esther’s scent still lingers. “You okay, Dom?” “Dealing with Apollo’s tantrums,” I sigh. ‘Yeah, sounds like him.’ He sends a mindlink and then chuckles audibly. ‘Is it about her?’ I nod. 'And about Felix. We despise Felix.’ ‘I still can’t believe you let him get away with it. You had a reason to kill him legally, but you didn’t, he closes the door and sits on the other side of the desk. ‘I know,’ I groan. ‘Why?’ I glare at him. Can’t he see the obvious reason? ‘Esther feels like Felix is the only one wh

  • Professor And The Feisty Human   Doubt

Willow It has been two weeks since our encounter with Liam, and I keep pushing the questions that bother me to the back of my mind. I can’t completely ignore Liam’s words, but he could be lying like the psycho he is. Leo and I have fallen into this comfortable relationship. I don’t know how it happened, but most of my stuff is at his apartment. We are sitting comfortably on a couch, watching TV, with my head resting on his shoulder. “Are you telling me that Liam was one of thw wolves bear-sprayed, when I bear-sprayed those wolves at Carkeek Park?” I ask him. “Willow? Is that a smile I see on your lips?” He gasps. “You are a little devil, you know that.” “Me? It’s not a smile.” I bite my lower lip. “It’s okay, you can laugh.” He laughs heartily, and I pause mid-laughter, staring at him. “What’s wrong?” he raises his brow. “You look so happy,” I smile. “I am,” he grins before kissing my forehead. * In the morning, we eat breakfast at a restaurant, and Leo heads to his lab, wh

  • Professor And The Feisty Human   Chapter 72: Doing It

Willow Leo kisses me, unzipping the back of my dress my dress. We continue to kiss when the dress falls, as he cups one of my butt cheeks. I unzip his pants, letting them fall on the floor. We move to the couch without breaking the kiss, and he sits on the couch, letting me straddle him, my eyes widen as I feel his bulging manhood, suddenly feeling nervous. “Should I stop?” He whispers, and I shake my head in response. He kisses my neck while he lets out a primal growl. His breath on my neck feels a little ticklish, but it makes me want him more. He holds my butt as we kiss on the lips, and then his hands caress my back as they move upward to unfasten my bra, exposing my breasts. He kisses one of my breasts, and I moan as he does. “Leo,” I exhale. His hand is on my back, pulls me close to him, letting my opening feel his cock. He uses the fingers of his other hand to circle my nipple, while his mouth is on my other breast. I just gasp, feeling helpless while my whole body resp

  • Professor And The Feisty Human   Chapter 71: Lunch

Willow “Mine!” He growls, his eyes wide and his gaze on the door. This is followed by a soft tap on the door, and I look from Jeremy to the door. “My mate,” he rushes to open the door, and we come face to face with a woman who is about 5’7”. She is a redhead with beautiful freckles on her nose bridge and the sides of her nose. Her eyes widen, and she presses her lips together. She stares at Jeremy who has calmed down, and looks at her as if he doesn’t believe she exists. She looks mad instead of surprised, then she abruptly walks away. Jeremy stands still, whimpering as if he is in pain. I close the door, facing Jeremy. I pull my by his hand, and he seems to be following me mindlessly. I make him take a seat, and he does without saying a word, as if he is a zombie that is following commands and there is a part of him that is gone. I run to my dresser to grab my phone, and I call Leo, hoping that he picks up. “Willow?” “I need you in my dorm room. It’s Jeremy.” “What happene

  • Professor And The Feisty Human   Chapter 70: Jeremy's Mate

Willow “Someone is knocking on my door,” I whisper. “Open the door, but don’t hang up yet.” “Hi, Professor Malino.” I say as I open the door, my hands shaking a little. “Come in.” I hang up on Leo, satisfied that at least he knows who it is. She awkwardly stands in the centre of the room, looking around as if lost. I offer her some refreshments and she shakes her head. We take a seat at my table, and I try to read her face, but it is blank. “Willow, I’m sorry had to see that,” she exhales. “Do you at least have an explanation?” She nods. “I have a confession to make.” I watch her expectantly. Waiting for her to continue. “I haven’t told Leo this, but my sister is suffering from vampire syndrome.” A tear trickles down her cheek. “Oh my God! Professor, I’m so sorry.” “It’s okay. I’ve been doing research and I think I was a little desperate to find a solution. She is getting worse every day.” “Professor, I know how you feel.” I sniffle, unable to contain my tears. “But we st

  • Professor And The Feisty Human   Chapter 69: Absent-Minded

Willow As soon as the door opens, I run towards Leo, and I hold him in a hug, crying tears of relief. “I’m okay,” he whispers, putting his arms around me and kissing my forehead. When I have wiped my tears, he glances at the beakers on the table. “What were you doing?” He motions towards the table. “I got bored, so I decided to test myself,” I shrug. “And?” He smiles, but the smile doesn’t reach his eyes. “Just as I suspected, I’m clean, look.” I pull him by his hand and lead him to one of the computers, which shows my results. “Hmmmm. Is that the only reason you tested yourself? To show me you are clean?” He raises an eyebrow, a corner of his mouth tilting up. “Of course not, I’m going to give these results to Jeremy.” I retort. “I suspected that,” he chuckles. “Why would you suspect that I wasn't clean? I told you I haven't…”“People sometimes get infections from toilet seats, and I felt like what you did was a reckless move. I've had sex. Shouldn't you have asked for pro
