The blackness engulfed her thoughts. Stretching out in front of her like a map, the unknown studied her fears, her courage and knowledge. Taking tentative steps the infinite exposure of the human flesh dawned. There was no life here. That was simple, no thriving population, no signs of past living. The darkness had overcome any sense of purity, consumed all hopes of cleanliness and had wiped out. She was getting tensed more like nervous and scared a feeling that never dared to touch her. She ran around looking for any sign of life, nothing! She was scared a feeling she never knew she had. She cried out loud, screaming on top of her lungs. Darkness has swallowed everything. Darkness destroyed everything she knew. Everything is gone, everyone is gone. Except her! Why is she still there!
"Because you are the darkness." A faint low voice came like a whisper brushing through her.
"No!" She screamed
"You destroyed everything!" A small shadowy figure made its way towards her.
"No, I didn't."
"You destroyed everyone!"
"No! Stop!" She screams covering her ears
"Everything is gone, but you will be here alone. And I will follow you reminding you of what you are."
"No!" She screamed out loud opening her eyes drenched in her own sweat engulfed by the darkness of her room. She immediately turned on the light making her way to the bathroom of her small house. She splashed cold water on her face reminding herself it was a dream! It was just a dream!
She was back in her bed after changing her clothes and a cold shower. She was twisting and turning unable to sleep. She looked at her watch, it was 3 in the morning. She had gone to bed only an hour ago and was already up. She sat down and sighed. After a while getting down from the bed she made her way towards her walk-in closet and came out after a while in some sports bra and shorts. She had already put her hair up in a messy bun and now she was standing in front of her punching bag letting out all the anger frustration out. Before half an hour the punching bag gave in burst out spilling all the sand it had inside on the floor. Then she went to her storage, took out another punching replacing the one that had given up. One after another punching bags were giving up she was replacing them throughout the night and there was a huge pile of sand.
Before she could know, new white rays shine through the window and curtain just the same, showing the beauty of the many tan hues that weave together to make the fabric she loves so much. The browns are as varied as sand dunes at dawn, as pretty as the lightest of wood carried ashore upon windswept waves. Amid the light she sees the beams as if they wave with the undulating pleats, yet in truth they are strong and true, giving structure and form. As the moments pass the intensity rises and soften, bold and gentle, telling of the day that passes in the world beyond. She finally leaves the punching bag alone letting it live till next time.
She was sweating, tired and exhausted. She lets out a deep breath and walks towards her bathroom opening her hair and stripping off her clothes. She stands under her shower letting the cold water fall and washes away everything. She washed her hair cleaned herself properly and got out of the shower wrapping a fluffy towel around her naked form while drying her hair with another one. She blow dried her hair and went into her closet coming out soon wearing a black and white polka dot puff sleeve organza mini dress with crystal buckle with open-toed black suede wedge sits atop an almost 4-inch arched platform. A soft suede strap can be laced up the calf or tied up the ankle for a versatile look.
She stood in front of her full-length dresser and applied a burgundy matte lipstick and accessorized it with a black choker. She put her long red hair in a messy bun, took her clutch and went out of her house. She took her car from her garage and made her way out of the house. Without any destination, she kept driving.
She lived in the human side of the world away from supernaturals and her identity. She found human quite fascinating. They lived their lives to the fullest without any worries, loved and helped people even if they weren't from their territory like wolfs, vampire and witches who would kill you even if you go near their border. Though not every human being was a good person. Well, every creature has its dark side now, don't they?
After a few hours of endless roads, she finally had to stop in an unfamiliar place because her beast was getting restless inside her mind. Her beast hardly ever interacted with her but when she did it always ends up in chaos and that's the last thing she wanted right now. She didn't wish to stop here because the moment she took a turn into this road her nose was hit by strong smells of wolfs and lycans. She parked her car in front of a cafe and masked her scent, now she smells like nothing, the supernaturals will think her to be human but the moment she leaves her scent will disappear. Usually, when she's out to assassinate someone she masks her scent like no one could ever smell her. This is one of her gifts. Keeping her hidden from everyone. She walks into the small cafe and it was filled with werewolves and lycans.
She is now sitting at a corner table alone with a cup of coffee. It's been more than an hour at her beast is still restlessly pacing in her head. At this point, she is worried thinking about what's wrong. She tried to leave a couple of times but her beast won't let her leave. She was getting frustrated among all these werewolves and they were giving her weird looks thinking about what 'human' is doing here all alone. She finished her 3rd cup of coffee when her beast started jumping up and down howling in joy inside her head. In her 421 years of a lifetime never did her beast behave like this she thought. That's when the most intoxicating scent hit her nose hard, it was cinnamon with a hint of freshly mowed grass and the scent of soil after rain. She was feeling dizzy how powerful that scent hit her and engulfed her. She seemed to not get enough of it when cafes door opened and the owner of the scent came in, he was the most gorgeous man she had ever land her eyes on. He had brown hair and striking blue eyes with a gorgeous smile planted on his exquisite lips. He was well built, his ripped muscles were hiding under his black tee. Her beast was howling and pushing her to go to their mate. Her eyes were still fixed on him, the word mate was about to leave her lips when a woman with blood hair wearing extremely tight and short red dress linked her hand into her mates arms whispering things into his ears and laughing about some intimate jokes. Her beast was growling inside ready to tear down that girl limb by limb for touching their mate. She was feeling overwhelming anger inside her that's when that girl planted a kiss on his lips. She stood up taking her bag ignoring her beasts begging to let her out so that she can tear up that bitch in pieces. She walked towards the exist and the exquisite smell was getting stronger and stronger, her eyes were fixed on him that's when their eyes met. His blue eyes where looking straight into her hazel ones. She gave a small smile and drifted her gaze to the exist and left.
She took her car started driving back to her place. Her beast was howling and growling inside her head begging her let her out. Her beast wanted to run to their mate and tear that woman in pieces. But she was trying her best to not lose control of her beast. Her beast won't stop pacing back and forth growling at her she finally stoped the car by a forest and slammed her hands on the staring wheel.
"He can't be our mate! Didn't you listen to what master told us! We don't have a mate nobody will ever love us we are a weapon that everyone wants to have. And didn't you see he already has a woman with him. He's just like every other supernatural. So stop growling at me and settle down!"
But her beast was still growling and pacing in frustration, she was angry at her for talking like that about their mate. She tried to calm her beast down but finally she gave in and decided to let her beast loose for run. She walks deep into the forest and stripes off her clothes and hid them in a small hole in a tree which probably a squirrel uses as their home. She jumps and shifts into her beast mid air landing on her paws gracefully and takes off with the wind. Her beast is loving the feeling of wind brushing through her fur, the satisfying crunch of dried leaves under her paw. It is to the forest, for serenity that flows as cool river waters. There is something about the sparkle upon the blue, a melody without a rhythm, music without sound. Above wave the great arms, clothed in the greens of every palate and none, the verdant hues of nature's free dreams. In that place she becomes a part of that art, of that three dimensional creation of time and space, of a greater evolutionary span than her brain can fathom. From the rich brown earthen hues of the forest ground to the sweetness of the blue-white sky, the forest is a three dimensional wonderland for the eyes like hers who are willing to absorb the light.
She runs and runs cutting through the air. She finally stops when she reaches a small river bank. Her beast just stands there feeling and enjoy the soft wind blow past her, she sits there on the grass and enjoys the surrounding. The river is a ribbon of living turquoise, boldly flowing amid the green of the forest. No matter the chatter of the trees it is steady, welcoming, refreshing. On quiet days it can be heard to whisper its wisdom, on stormy days it is lost to all but those who listen closely. The river always talks, always speaks the wisdom of the water to anyone who treasures its musical words. Even on the rainiest of days it can heard beneath the splashes, a sacred melody, always moving, always present. The river has a strength that is reflected in the trees. It flows on with confidence, taking the form of the river bed, billions of drops moving together. The community of trees stands tall, trunks reaching into the blue above, light filtering through leaves like perfect stained glass. The river is green in the dawn, yet it will be as speckled as a thousand dollar diamond in the noon sunlight. It flows in that understated way, smoothly onward without a fuss. Is there anything so reliable as this water? Maybe not.
After a while she takes off to where clothes are, after shifting back and changing into her clothes she goes back to her car and starts driving. It's already dusky, it's that time of the day when the last sun-rays of the day kiss the heathland, when the greens and purples melt into grey under the moonlight, that's when the warren empties. Dusk comes with a promise of moonlight, to the time of reflection upon the day passed and awaiting day to be renewed by the light of the sun. It is when the birds sing goodnight until the stars bid them to dream under-wing. Each hue deepens in noble solemnity, finding unity in the night.
Only now she realizes how far she went from her house. She's been driving for three hours and she still has a long way to go before she reaches her house. Her beast is whimpering inside her head as she moves far away from their mate. It would not be completely true is she said she doesn't feel anything for their mate. There is a foreign feeling inside her chest that she can not put her head around. A feeling she never felt. Would he except her if he knew that she was his mate? Or would he have rejected her because of the blonde woman he had with him? Would he love her? Love! She only heard that word never felt it. Care! That's a luxury that she can never have. She shakes away all these thoughts that crawled into her head. She doesn't remember much about her mother and father but she knows that they had unconditional love for each other. She remembers how her mother told her about mates! How she would find her mate someday and he would love her unconditionally, how he would care for her, how they are born for each other and would die for each other. She laughs at herself thinking how she believed those words. Nobody loves or cares for anyone unconditionally. There is always a reason. And no one would ever love and care for her like that, she is a monster and a weapon that everyone wants. That everyone betrays for their own selfish reasons and she learned to not believe anyone anymore now. Everyone acts in a way to achieve something. Everyone that's comes to know what she is, they either tries to use her or tries to kill her. And he would too cause everyone is same, she thought.
It was past eleven when she finally reached her house. She haves her dinner and gets ready for work. She changes into her 'work' attire which includes some black long sleeve and neck tee with leather gloves weaponized with hidden silver blades. Black combat pants, combat boots and a hooded black jacket. She fills her waist belt with various weapons she would need. After putting her hair up in a bun she takes off waiting for new bounty from her master.

It has been three weeks, three weeks of killing, sleepless nights and...pain. Unbearable pain. First she didn't understand why she was feeling such a pain soon she understood her mate he was cheating on her. Well technically it is not cheating as he doesn't know he has a mate but still. Her beast went extremely quiet, quieter than before, her beast was depressed, upset heartbroken from being away from her mate and the consistent cheating and pain. A week later her first wave of heat came. It was unbearable for her, lycan and vampire heat combined. It was not something that could kill her but she felt dying would be better than bearing the heat
She doesn't know how but she reached that very river her beast found three weeks ago. After a successful assassination she ran away and somehow she reached the river. The river is so different, so mesmerizing than the afternoon. The sky is clear full of stars and the rivers turquoise water is now a beautiful black reflecting all the far away stars in the sky. The wind is refreshing cold and inhales a good amount of fresh air putting down her neck sleeve and hood. She takes of her jacket, boots and her gloves and her waist belt. She feels light getting out of all burdens, burdens that's what she likes to call them. She sits on the soft grass and let's the water flow cleaning and getting rid of the warmth of her feet. She looks up at the beautiful sky, her eyes glows a bright gold as her beast who had been quite after getting out their house comes out looking at the sky through her eyes.
She lets out a long breath of relief as she lays down on the soft grass. She closes her eyes and that's when she feels a sharp pain crawling it's way through my abdomen. It was sharp it was so painful, it was nothing like all the pain she have felt till now. Soon the pain starts spreading further. She let's out a whimper, she tries to use her magic but nothing seems to work. Their mate has someone else in his bed with him! She felt the pain of cheating before but this time it was much more painful than before. That's when it hit her! Her second flow of heat. Her body temperature was increasing tremendously. She got down in the river trying to cool herself but soon she was seeing black spots and the last thing she remembers before blacking out was that she felt light! She was flowing with the rivers current!

On this cloudy morning, there are growing patches of blue, the sort of hue that is soft and bright at the same time. Though beneath the sheet of the cloud is a grey that deepens to steel, the leading edge is a brilliant white, as if it is the pages of a new book ready for any curious eye. So, on this day that could bring rain or sunshine. Though the sky seems sad today, it seems to grieve the pain and agony with the whole crowd gathered here grieving the loss of a great Alpha and Luna of the Blood Moon pack. The sky got cleared last time after the assassination of the Alpha and his Luna but when his pack started howling expressing the pain and agony of losing their Alpha and Luna the sky decided to grieve with them. Since then, the sky is wearing a dark gloomy blanket of clouds. The whole pack, neighboring packs, and the Royal Pack have gathered in the Blood Moon Pack for the funeral of the late Alpha and Luna. All the werewolves that were gathered in the Blood Moon Pack held their
The Beta of the Royal Pack Nicholas was patrolling and inspecting the forest with a party of three warriors when he smelled something odd. He sniffs the air, identifying the source of the odour, and then sprints in that direction. He quickly arrives at a small riverbank in Royal Pack territory, only to be greeted by a red-haired girl. For her, the term "beautiful" is an understatement. She was simply breathtaking. He and the other three warriors were in awe of her. 'Why did she, who seems to be a human girl, come straight into our Royal territory!' he wondered. He took his attention away from the lovely unconscious girl lying on the riverbank and began checking the area for something suspicious. He approached her and knelt down and saw bruises on her flat stomach, which were apparently due to her slightly elevated tee. In addition, he noticed a deep cut on her forehead. He immediately made contact with his Alpha via mind link,"What Nick?""Alpha yo
She has seen darkness before, the kind that makes our street like an old fashioned photograph, everything a shade of grey. This isn't like that. This is the darkness that robs you of your best sense and replaces it with a paralyzing fear. In this darkness, she sits, muscles cramped and unable to move. She only knows her eyes are still there because she can feel herself blink, still instinctively moisturizing the organs she has no current use for. She can't hear anything either. She guessed that should bring her heart rate down below the level of "rabbit in a snare" but it doesn't. By her genes she is a predator, she has the front-facing eyes and brain enough to hunt, but she feels like prey in this utter black. The dawn is many hours away and until that precious time, she can only wait. She doesn't know how long she's be
"Your Highness," came a deep shaky, male voice from behind. "Let me guess, you haven't found her." He said it without glancing back. "N-no Your Highness." Before the man could blink, he was pinned to the wall by his neck. Prince Aiden squeezing his neck like it was a stress ball, "How did a girl despair under your nose? huh?" He asked, in an incredibly calm voice, that sent cold shivers down the man's spine. His eyes were blood-red mixed with gold yellow, indicating his beast was at bay. "I-uh" His voice came out to be scrambled "Who made you the head warrior again? And what's your job when you're at the border? Do remind me again, will you." Aiden said clenching his jaw. The head warrior tried to wiggle out of his strong grip, but it was in vain. He could not answer as his throat was being crushed. "Did she just vanish in thin air?" He asked him again. The head warrior was now gasping for air as his lungs were g
(The conversation between the beast and their human form is talking with one's subconscious. Beast can not talk in human form when they take over the body) "Why does this have to happen to me?" She said loudly as she began to run into the forest. She took off and threw away her heels as she cursed her mate, "I'm going to make sure you fucking pay well if I Lose these pair of Louis Vuitton, you fucking Prince!" She took the medium train of her dress and started running as fast as she could, as she heard thuds of paws hitting the ground. It did not take her long to understand that they were after her. She tried to run faster, but she found herself slowing down, pushing herself to use her Vampire speed, but she couldn't reach her Vampire side as her beast kept blocking her. Her beast was forcing her to shift. She kept
"What have they done to you! I'm so sorry love!" Looking at his mate's condition, Prince Aiden said in a sorrowful tone. He removed his jacket and wrapped it around his injured comrade, who was staring at him with wide eyes. He pulled her closer to him, protectively wrapping his arm around her. The heat emitted by him was soothing to her. His voice sounded concerned, but wasn't he the one who instructed his warriors to capture her? She thought to herself. "Do you know what the sentencing is for assaulting your future Luna? or should I help you in recollecting?" His voice had a dangerously low and deep tone to it. Implying that his beast was ready to attack and rip off anyone who dared to lay their filthy hands on his mate. "But she is the one who killed five of ou
The light grew steadily outside until the curtains glowed just the same as stained glass. She stuck her head behind the fabric to survey what the day might bring. The grassy yard was slick with water, though the puddles remained quite still, no hint of rain still falling. Above the clouds were still grey but without the denseness of yesterday, allowing patches of blue to form. She walked back to her bed and sat down. The horizon was just beginning to take on gold hues, and the sun had not yet risen. She awoke an hour ago, having gotten the most sleep she had in years. There was still an hour until dawn. Throughout the hour, she tried to find her way out of this castle, or at least out of this room. She still can't believe The Prince put metal bars on the balcony, preventing her from jumping out. Did she mention the guards
It's been quite a few hours since the Alpha abandoned her in his bedroom. With each passing second, her impatience grew. She attempted to break through the door, but the guards stationed outside appear to be uninterested about her existence. She finally takes in the room after being in it for the third time. In the center of the room is a California King-size bed. A dark-grey duvet with simple white designs, a few puffy pillows, one of which bears the palace emblem, a dark marble fireplace flanked by a lounging chair of black and gold velvet, and another set of chairs placed in the massive balcony with white curtains on the door and massive tall windows. The black and grey coloured walls are flawless; there is no trace of the fire she had set the last time she managed to run.
"Will this be all, My Lady?" Dorothy inquired as she fastened the final brooch of the Silver Royal Mantle."Yes, thank you, Dorothy." Dorothy, the new head court lady, bowed and walked out, and Seraphina smiled. Seraphina later found out that Megan had been murdered after she had discovered Freya adulterating her drinks. And soon when everything slowly fell into place Dorothy succeeded Megan.Seraphina took a final glimpse of herself in the mirror as she exhaled a deep breath. She was dressed in an A-line gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. Lace tails onto the shoulder and comes back up at the wrist. The back bodice is a lovely illusion made of lace that opens and closes with buttons and loops. The lace trails back onto the skirt. A dramatic lace border completes the hem. Her hair was styled in a simple sweet hive updo. Her look was completed with a simple necklace and diamond studs."You look stunning!" Hilda complemented as she walked in through t
"In the infirmary!" As soon as he said it, her legs carried her down the corridor, down the stairs, and into the pack infirmary on their own. She felt the dampness on her cheeks as her legs carried her towards the male her heart craved. She rushed through the grassy field, tears streaming down her cheeks, without even bothering to wipe them, and soon arrived at the infirmary. Hilda was standing on the first floor, her face glum. When she saw Seraphina, her eyes widened."Where is he?" Hilda only pointed to the door at the end of the hallway when she asked. She dashed towards the door, but a hand captured her forearm before she could break through."They're operating on him." He said this, and she turned around to face Emmerich."Tėtis!" She wrapped her arms around him and sobbed on his shoulder. He stroked her hair tenderly as he held her."It's okay, he'll be alright!" He tried to console her, but all she did was sob."Why does this always have to happen to
She was the only beating heart, the only being of warm blood and flesh in those cold, lonely halls of the castle. The walls around her were undoubtedly familiar to her in the recent past, these walls had started becoming her home, making her feel she belonged somewhere, but it was all now a strange maze. The light fell on the words that spoke to no one, unaware that their audience had vanished or that the stone floor lay silent beneath no feet except her. It was as if Goddess had stopped time, removed all the distractions so she could see it for real, see how it really was, what it really was. And all she wanted at the time was another beating heart in this deserted castle, another being of warm blood and flesh, another pair of feet to walk beside hers. Her shaky feet were giving up, unable to bear the weight of her being, of her heavy heart. Her hand clutched her chest tightly as she struggled into the first floor. His scent hit her full force
"I'm not a flower of darkness! I have seen the brighter world and I don't wish to go back to a world where light doesn't exist!" She raised her gaze and Mia shrieked. She looked down as a sharp pain sprouted on her abdomen. Seraphina's hands held a dagger as she pushed it deeper into Mia's stomach. She leaped back to Aiden, who gleefully drew her into his arms, his face solemn as he stared at Mia. Seraphina said as Mia fell to her knees."Don't think I didn't notice you were obstructing my path to Cora. You gave me no choice but to strike!""Your blade is your true nature! You will kill anyone who is an impediment! Be it the female who raised you!" Their gazes were drawn to the forest's shadows. As the man walked into the dim light, their eyes widened as if they'd seen a ghost."F-father!" Aiden stuttered.Bruce stared at Malcolm's beheaded corpse."What a pity!" He scoffed and took a step closer to Mia. He knelt and snatched her jaw."Are yo
Kendrick and the warriors rushed up the stairs to the fourth floor. He came to a standstill when he noticed the female facing him, standing there with a heart in her palm. He and the warriors raised their weapons, aiming at the female, and the rattle of their weapons drew Bruce's attention, causing him to turn around."Your Majesty!" Kendrick exclaimed in disbelief, and Bruce's face was hidden behind a menacing grimace. Bruce turned around with the female behind him, wagging his finger. When feral hisses surrounded Kendrick and his warriors, they shrieked. Bruce simply walked away as the creatures ripped the Lycans apart, their howls filling the entire hall."Liam! I need you to find and protect Seraphina. She's with Malcolm, and I suspect he'll try to use her demon. Keep an eye on her and keep her from shifting." Aiden ordered"Until my last breath!" said Liam curtly."Nicholas and I will be fighting on the front lines. No creature shall come near
An amicable, quiet evening was suddenly shattered by anguish and terror. The violent explosion rattled the entire packhouse, and the Lycan and Wolves who lived there fled in terror. The power had been cut off, and the impact had shattered the majority of the windows. The warriors had already gathered around the packhouse."Where is His Highness?" Kendrick, the head warrior, who had been moving around making sure everyone was headed to the safe house, asked another warrior."Last I heard, they're all in the conference hall!" He said this with a panicked tonality in his voice. Kendrick looked up at the building and dashed into the packhouse "The impact was on the fourth floor! Let's go!" Nearby warriors followed him into the basement, through the secured door they entered the armory."We don't know who attacked or how many there are, so bring as many weapons as you need and arm yourself! Notify the battle regiment and the border guards!" Kendrick ordered whi
"What are you so engrossed in?" Aiden inquired as he sat on the lounge chair next to Seraphina. She raised her head in surprise when she heard his voice."When did you return?" With a smile, she asked. He loosened his tie and sat down on the chair."Just a few moments ago. What are you reading?" He questioned, leaning in to read the title of the book she held in her hand."The history of Drinealia and Auhesraivia. You know, it was very harmonious back then." She sighed and closed the book."What do you mean?""What I mean is...come in!" When someone knocked on the door, she paused to let them in.Freya walked in with a cheerful smile and a tray in her hand. When she saw Aiden, her eyes widened in shock, and she instantaneously bowed her head. Seraphina had persuaded Freya not to curtsey to her, and Freya had agreed."Your Highnesses!" Seraphina gladly accepted the mug she offered."Thank you!" Seraphina thanked her, and Freya walked out,
"Training with him can't be that bad!" Aiden tried for the tenth time that morning to calm an anxious Seraphina. She'd been pacing back and forth in their chamber all morning."You've got no idea. Goddess knows how long he lived on this god-forsaken earth, and how many great warriors he trained. I had seen him train juveniles when I was a child. And it was heinous." She shuddered and hugged herself. He sighed and drew her closer, and she buried her face in his chest."You are incredible at combat, sword fighting, and many other things I am unaware of. So don't be concerned, and show him how incredible you are." He said this, and she lifted her head to look at him. She pecked his lips with a smile."You should now get going. He'll be upset if you're late." She nodded and hugged him before pulling away."I'll see you later." She said and he kissed her forehead. They said their goodbyes, and she walked away. "Tėtis?" As she stood on the open lawn surr
Every step was guarded by a Drinealia soldier. They saluted her with their heads bowed and their right fist pressed over their hearts as she passed by. She was reminded of her childhood when she used to run around the corridors of the Castle of Drinealia. The soldier came to a halt in front of a door at the far end of the corridor and knocked. With his head bowed, he stepped aside and pushed open the door for her. As attendants dressed him, the Demon King stood with his hands spread to his sides in front of a huge shining mirror, she walked in. He was dressed in black knee-length leather boots and black leather pants tucked into the boots. He was dressed in a black shirt, and two attendants carefully slipped him into a silver-gold armor vest. A brown animal skin was wrapped around his waist, and a long gold knotted belt endorsed the animal skin. The attendants delicately draped the black Royal Mantle of Drinealia over his shoulder, securing it with a silver brooch
