Chapter 28 An Angry Tommy

Ava's Pov

I arrived home, my heart heavy with the weight of the day. The house was quieter than usual, an unsettling silence that made me uneasy. As I stepped into the living room, I found Tommy sitting on the couch, his little face streaked with tears. His eyes were red and puffy, his cheeks still wet from crying. My heart clenched at the sight.

“Tommy…” I whispered, rushing over to him. I reached out to touch him, but he flinched away from me, his small hands clenched into fists.

He turned his face away, his lips trembling with anger. “You… you left me again!” His voice was sharp, filled with hurt.
