Chapter 31 Han's Evil Plan

Han's POV

I stood at the window, my breath shallow and uneven, watching them below as they splashed in the pool.

Ava’s laughter rang out, pure and joyous, carried up to me by the gentle breeze that made the trees sway lazily.

My nails dug into the palms of my hands, clenched into tight fists at my sides, as I struggled to keep the anger from boiling over. How could she be so carefree?

How could she dare to enjoy this happiness when it should have been mine?

My eyes narrowed, and I felt my jaw tighten as I saw Richard’s hand brush against Ava’s arm.

A wave of jealousy surged through me, so intense that I had to bite down hard on my lip to keep from screaming.

The metallic taste of blood filled my mouth, but I barely noticed it. All I could see was the way Richard looked at her, the softness in his gaze that once belonged to me.
