Chapter 169

Shane rubbed his neck and apologized, "I'm sorry for getting out of line the other day."

Benji didn't show Shane any mercy. "We don't need to get the police if an apology is going to cut it."

Shane was speechless.

After Jessamine bought the drinks, she silently listened as the two men bickered. They sounded like they were flirting.

"Jessie, since there's someone with you, I'll be leaving. We'll contact you if anything happens."

With that, Benji opened the door and left. However, Shane wiped the sweat from his forehead and went after him.

"Do you want to come over? We're having a potluck for dinner."

Shane's words were a bit blunt. He was decent at criticizing others but not good at coaxing others. A strong, tall man like him wasn't one to give gentle nothings.

Benji shook the keys in his hand and rolled his eyes. "Didn't you hear Jessie say that we've already eaten?"

"I'm not telling you to finish the food."

Benji stepped into his Ferrari. "I have to go. Maybe next time."
