When Jessamine woke up the next day, she was surprised to see a suit jacket next to her legs. She looked around, but Thaddeus was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, Zade called, and she quickly answered the phone. "Jessie, something big has happened."

Jessamine hurriedly asked, "What happened?"

"Yesterday, someone has dealt with the man who threatened Amy. He was brought to the police station with three broken ribs. He was charged with rape, voluntary manslaughter, and robbery. He'll probably get a death sentence.

"Also, the decision about the case of your car accident yesterday has been overruled. Two police officers are being investigated for harboring criminals. It seems like someone is standing up for you."

Jessamine knew who was behind it, but Zade didn't mention anything about Amy. Therefore, Thaddeus dealt with everyone who harmed her but left the mastermind off the hook.

Jessamine knew that he had seen the video and did this to alleviate the slightest hint of guilt he felt.
