Chapter 146. Can’t stop thinking…

Danielle's POV

I couldn’t take my mind off Mark’s words. They ring in my head like a clang on a bell. Now I had a lot of what-ifs to ask but it seems odd. Bryan hasn’t been himself since the encounter with Mark.

“I'm sure you know something I do not know. I think I know Bryan the way I should already and nothing is disputing it. The first time you came to my house, Linda, you told me you knew something about him. I think this is the best time to talk about it. Don't you think so?”

I said to Linda over the phone. She is scoffed. “If you have Bryan with you, you do not have to worry about anything. He would protect you at all costs? I just can't wait for Mark to go to jail.”

I am not sure if I wish the same. In a way, Mark isn't a bad person to me. He hasn't caused any form of harm to me and he hasn't made any advances. He might have been a bad person to other people but… I think he's just someone who is misunderstood.

“How is your wedding dress? You are getting married in a few days.”
