With closed eyes, he broke the sensation I was about to take in as he stepped away and looked at me with a smile. Clara, wherever she stood—which I can't recall—must be having a thousand thoughts roaming her mind.
He walked over to Ella and kissed her forehead. He whispered something in their ears which made them smile. He kissed Mila and Lila too before coming back to kiss my forehead. “ A guard would be here to stand guard and give them things they need to keep themselves busy. I assume Clara is going to stay with them?”
