Hundred and Twenty

NATALIA’S POV

I sprang up from the bed, my sudden display of energy surprising even Beth who was still on the bed.

“You are right” I vented almost breathlessly, my hands still buckled around my hardly noticeable bump.

Bow that they were dead, this was the least I could do for them. To save their lineage. I was not doing this for myself. If it had been for me then I would have let them do whatever they wanted. I was tired of the constant fight that yielded nothing but intense heartache at the end.

I was exhausted and dead doesn't really sound like a bad idea at first. Maybe I could finally meet my father, and get eternal rest from all of these strains and never-ending anxiety but immediately after Beth reminded me of the child I was currently carrying in me. That plan was shoved right back to where it came from.
